Chocolatree reviews
74Good choice of Chocolate desserts. Found slightly expensive for the quantity, but okay to visit once in a while.
Had lovely time with friends, best lotus Bischoff cheesecake i had till date.will come back again for some hot chocolates.
Ordered a milkshake for myself and my brother, service was great and so were the drinks. Seems like a great hole in the wall
A vast range of deserts and hot and cold drinks. If you want decadent then this is the place for you. It's good to see some business that have stood the test of time where Chocolatree is definitely one of them.
Saw the reviews and happened to be in the neighbourhood.
Definitely delicious.
The staff were also lovely and the place was super cosy, perfect for a chilly Adelaide winter night.
Hot chocolate absolutely delicious and deserts same. Only wish seats and decor were a little more up graded as took friends from USA there seating was so cramped and uncomfortable couldn’t go outside as pouring with rain
The food and coffee here is great. They’re open late which is convenient for dessert after dinner or an evening event in the city.
Love going here for a sweet treat. My favourites ate chocolate strawberry crepes and Irish cream hot chocolate
As a Belgian in Adelaide, this was such a wonderful experience. I tried the hot chocolate with Biscoff, made from Belgian chocolate, it was absolutely delicious! Also had a lovely chat, the guy working there was so nice and welcoming.
Worth the visit! I will be coming back when I need a dose of Belgian chocolate: D
Come here with an appetite. It was absolutely divine, they had to roll me out of the building. The hot chocolates are incredibly rich, and the crepes were so well made. We had to get a gift pack just to share the love!
Hadn't been here for a few years. Had a latte and a waffle to share. Serving was just right as it wasn't overly rich and staff were friendly.
Mediocre food and overpriced. The desserts were okay. The fondue wasn't worth the price! It was a very very cold evening and there were patio heaters there but not turned on- seated outside in the cold (they did offer us blankets but that's not useful with Covid!). Would have been happy to pay that price had the food/service or ambience been good! Disappointing!
Cheesy garlic toast was hot and crunchy. The Chocolate Overload Belgian Waffle was very good. Dark choc hot chocolate was thick and rich, just as it should be.
Located toward the city end of the busy O’Connell St in North Adelaide, you’ll be lucky to park right out the front, but check out the side streets for a free hour or two of parking.
Bathroom facilities are a bit tired, and the music a little overbearing.
The place was quiet for our visit.
Great to visit in store, but do not order the AB snack through uber eats. For $20 (plus delivery $28) we were expecting an actual AB size box, this was half the size expected for the cost. Has maybe half a waffle in it. Only bother going in person, absolutely not worth it to order in.
Great dark chocolate chai.
The barista is really lovely and kind, and thoughtful. I appreciate anyone who is kind to children! What a lovely place.
Yummy with lovely service too! My friend and I really enjoyed the Smash It which we both had (guacamole, feta & dukkah on toasted sourdough) - really good! And both happy with our nutty latte and mocha. I’d come back here for sure
I'd recommend other fellow sweet tooths to this venue, great chocolate crepes and well priced hot chocolates (giant mugs).
Chocolate experiences!
And good coffee and small cakes.
Open late so nice for the desert treat after dinner on Melbourne or O'Connell Street.
Was very quiet on my visit so seating choices inside or out on the back decking area was available.
Hot chocolate was a generous size and appropriately priced.
Crepe was prepared and delivered quickly but for the money paid, the quality wasn't really there.
Would return again to give another chance in the hope it was a once off.
Hot chocolate was more bland than ur own home made Milo. Waffles was dry and stale like old bread. Gross.
