Recommended by a friend, a classic in Hutt Street, didn't have great expectations honestly, service was okay food average, although we didn't try the whole menu.
We will give another try probably in a less busy night.

Attended for a leisurely lunch. Be prepared to supply card details to hold a booking.
High end Italian style cuisine with in house pastas that are the focus of the dish in true Italian style. Option of entree size or main if you are watching portions.
Excellent selection of Italian beers and wines.
Attentive and friendly staff.

Simply brilliant from start to finish. Impeccable service and unbelievably delicious food. Highly recommend the crab pasta dish.

Upmarket Italian restaurant. I enjoyed the lamb brains entree, kingfish entree, crab pasta main. These flavours were exciting and well balanced.
Carpaccio entree was average. The mushroom gnocchi dish was yummy, but a bit too rich and heavy after 2 bites so it was difficult to finish. Chocolate and beetroot torte was average (would have been better with icecream rather than a quenelle of cream), but my favourite dessert was definitely the coconut and passionfruit dish. Serving sizes are good, good quality food. $216 for 3 entrees, 2 mains and 2 desserts, wine and coffee for 2 people. Great, friendly, unobtrusive service.

This place was amazing. The food was rich and filling, and their wine list was impressive. Table service was spot on and the owner came and congratulated us on our engagement. I will definitely be back again.

Chianti provided fantastic welcoming service and a delicious menu with just the right range of dishes so as not to spoil us with choice. We can't wait for the next occasion that requires a Chianti celebration.

Love this restaurant but one of the dish I ordered was too salty
but in general they are always on the top

The food and service were amazing. Loved the blue swimmer crab spaghetti. Would have given 5 stars except the corkage fee for BYO was $35 (for two people), which we felt was excessive. If we had known in advance, we would not have brought our own bottle (we brought a special bottle because the BYO was advertised on the website). But otherwise, great service and lovely food.

Lovely experience there last night for dinner. We arrived without a booking, however the staff were very accommodating. The food was delicious, great friendly service and a lovely atmosphere, highly recommend we will be back again.

Not impressed. Stuff is not so pleasant, they mess up with order. Much better places around for less money and better, nice stuff.
They gave kids to draw in even if it wasn't necessary and than told us to be careful for them not to mess up tables? !

Thing that is good, they are really clean.

Had a whitefin tuna pasta for entre (special), steak and Polenta main and tried nearly all the desserts (platter and the chocolate sorbet w rasberries/coulis/crostoli)

Good service and all of the dishes were amazing. Would probably skip the dessert platter and just get the chocolate sorbet next time, 9/10 for the food but rounded up to 5* with excellent service and wine to match

Work event. Nice meal, steak cooked beautifully, panna cota was well set, nice flavour, but not sickly. Great attentive staff.

A rather pricey but lovely Italian restaurant with friendly staff, good food and excellent wine. Parking can be a little difficult but otherwise enjoyable.
