Chennai Palace

Chennai palace is my absolute favourite restaurant in Adelaide. I am thankful to the whole team, especially Anbu, for hosting a wonderful party for us. The food was delicious and the presentation was amazing. Highly recommendable.

Very slow service. Not authentic South Indian food.
We tried idly and other dosas. Sambhar is no where near to the authentic taste. Food gave a stale taste.
Not going to come back to this place. Not recommended for South Indian dishes.

We recently tried their buffet the food was good however, one lady staff who was serving the food was soooooo RUDE she really need to learn basic manners and customer service. She was treating all the customers as if we are there for free food. Hated her attitude the other staff was good and friendly it was only her who was really rude.

This was the most awful meal that has ever been delivered. It had absolutely no redeeming aspects of it.
I do not see how they are still open and functioning?
Please heed my advice and avoid.

Much better than Dosa Plazas and Dosa Huts of Adelaide
Really nice place for an authentic South Indian Cuisine experience (read Dosa varieties, Idly, vada, Mysore pak), decent ambience, and friendly staff
Pricing is in conjunction, so good value for money

Being from South India, me and housemates love trying south indian food (especially dosa & filter coffee). The only highlight of this place was the authentic filter coffee and a well-maintained decent place to eat. However, mysore masala dosa which I ordered was super spicy and I couldn't finish it. I have had much better dosa (no comparison) at Vino's Indian Dhaba. Pizza dosa was a disappointment. Dahi Bhalla served was actually dahi wada which tasted like the way it should have. It was definitely not Dahi Bhalla! I might visit only to drink filter coffee which I love as a south indian. Overall, dosas aren't great but coffee is!

Love their dosais. It's so soft and crispy. The menu and the at their Olam festival was just out of this world.

Serving cold food, No taste, Flavorless, High prices as compared to quality and service. Not worth going even if they serve free because after few hours of having food there, my wife and I started nauseating. Owner tried to cover up by offering free sweet box to kids but throwing it in the bin, can't risk health. Not going there again.

I wouldn’t even give one star if I have an option. Worst food in adelaide, specially the chapatis, very very bad quality, don’t recommend at all, waste of money! ️

We recently hosted a party at their banquet hall for about 60 people. The owners offered me a good selection of food at an unbeatable price. They did the special decor to make the place perfect for the party. Awesome food and lovely ambience! The guests left with lots of positive review about this place.

Nice food. Gets crowded on Sunday morning and the food does get slow for the buffet. Service is nice.

The service was excellent and as for the food probably the best indian food I've had since being in India itself

Only had a light supper, but I was very happy with the food and the bill was lower than expected. The kids ordered a masala omelette and it was a lot hotter than expected. I'd go back for more. Also the menu was huge, lots of options available.

Good Indian food around CBD and suburbs.great Rice items including the Chicken Biryani. Not so great main dishes though.their weekend Buffet is a great option though.

Very popular Indian restaurant for the area. Always busy with plenty of parking. Friendly staff and always willing to adjust the curries to taste.

Love Indian and first visit and it was a delightful experience. The eggplant with peas dish, we had it spicy hot was a taste standout. The non vegetarian meat platter was good, and garlic naan was light and perfect. The menu offered seemed expansive and looked more authentic than often what I term regular food court dishes.

I conducted my son's birthday party in Chennai palace. They had both vegetarian and non vegetarian. Food was very very tasty and reasonable price. All had good time and fun. Highly recommend for parties.

Loved the serving and food. We came here after eating the masala dosa from diwali mela and was impressed but the food we ate today is more wonderful. I would suggest this to everyone.

Food was not bad, but the toilets are very dirty. It looks as if the toilets were.not cleaned for a very long time.

Got food delivered for my partner and I. Naan was burnt black, papadums were black and short by 2 (the serving says 5), we decided to try a new paneer and it was not all as the description has stated. Called up and asked about the bad food, was told he wouldn’t do a refund or re-deliver good food but to just dine-in next time and he’ll ‘see what I can do’. I know what that means. Wouldn’t spend another cent here & definitely wouldn’t recommend.
