Cavan Steak Van

This place is a legend, I have been going there since I was a young boy, which was quite a few decades ago. Place has upgraded to a permanent site from the old Caravan but still maintains the van feeling. Food is excellent, well priced, and after a great burger, you can wander over to the Cavan hotel for a beverage. It is very clean and the food is fresh. Great stop for tradies for lunch or truckers wanting a feed, plenty of room for your big rigs. Highly recommended.

SADLY, this icon is a shadow of its former self, YES, I still do come occasionally & partake in my steak, egg & onion sandwitch, salt & pepper with bbq sauce.the quality of the sandwich is determined by who actually made it, some days quite good, others days a reminder why one doesn't frequent this venue more often.the overall quality is average, but still worthwhile on occasion, my gripe is simple, my dad used to bring me here when I was a child & that is a long ways back & that era was their heyday, incredible food, so tasty & delish that you craved for more, but the halcyon days are long gone, today it's just a lingering memory, but nice to reminisce, try it, I wouldn't disuade anyone not to, cheers.

Steak egg and onion sandwich was a bit disapointing. The steak was a bit dry and tasteless. Not as good as they use to be

All that I wanted was a Steak and Onion Sandwich.
Perfect.
I absolutely love the Food and the Service is Polite, fast and friendly.
I mean.their food is delicious and I go there because I'm hungry and I know that I will not be disappointed.

Foods pretty good but workers are outrageously rude like breathtakingly rude the only reason i still go there dometimes is because its quick convenient and the food is decent chips are hit and miss though sometimes good sometimes not

The staff members are welcoming the service is great and the waiting time for your order is not very long either.
The food is always fresh and delicious.
You will find yourself going back again and again. It's an outstanding little Steak Van you'll ever stop at.

The humble steak sandwich made here is one of my absolute favourite places to get one in Adelaide they have been making them for many many years and have always kept up the standard and always kept on making good ones every time

Been a family favourite for many years and still lives up to the memories of when I was child. Great food, lots of selection and staff members that always go above and beyond to make exactly how you want it.

Excellent chopped steak sandwich at a great price. The mustard was not as keen as I usually like it, but a great lunch regardless.

My wife and I bought lunch here today first time, it won't be the last time, I can highly recommend the steak sandwich and the barramundi burger and the chips were excellent. Even the price is reasonable too, the service is excellent thankyou very much

This was such an unexpectedly good lunch! I ordered 10 individual orders for my staff at work, and the lady on the phone was accommodating to the large order. I rocked up half an hour later to a packed out roadside deli. The women behind the counter were extremely helpful in getting my itemised bill and packaging up my large order, and let me tell you, it was a crowd pleaser! Everyone was so happy with their lunch, and the prices are such a steal out here! So tasty, affordable, and with genuine service, you cannot go wrong with Cavan Steak Van.

Not a pleasant ordering experience.

I keep coming back. It's a great lunchtime feed. The steak burger with chips and a can of Coke it good value. I can eat. Real I eat way to much, this is the place that satisfies an old bear like me. Yum. The chips are really good.

It doesn't look like much from the street. You will be surprised. Picnic table and chairs under a verandah.
There's been a steak burgers outlet here forever. Good times
