Waited less than 5 minutes to be seen. I felt that staff listened and understood my medical issues. Drs, nurses, X-ray and ultrasound technicians were all friendly and professional

I’ve heard the facilities are good & the staff are kind. However, I’m trying to call the hospital at 5.30pm to find out how my sisters operation went & nobody is answering! It keeps hanging up when I select switchboard. Not even the ED is answering. I can’t find out how she is.

My Mum was taken to Calvary Adelaide Hospital end Last week, I was happy with the Nursing and Medical Staff and the care she received, but I can't say much for the Emergency Department. Ok the cubicles are large and roomy, but they have No Doors on them and only the Curtains to add privacy. Calvary Hospital Board spent all that money on a nice new building and did not put any doors on the Emergency Department Cubicles. Sick Patients and their Families having to endure endless voice and noise pollution, all those bells and buzzers going off and no one turning them off. Spend some more money and please fix this problem. Was also happy they fed my mother while she waited in ED. Paid $430.00 to use the Emergency Department. She was transported to Calvary Adelaide, because Royal Adelaide Hospital was not taking Ambulances.

My dad was scheduled for a knee replacement and came back to his room only to be told that they have lost all of his luggage to get him through the next five days. His phone, wallet and clothes are missing and they aren’t taking responsibility for it being lost. They also brought someone else’s luggage into the room claiming it was his then took it away with no explanation. Absolutely infuriating especially for a procedure that has taken a toll on him. Very poor.

Worse in communication, applied for jobs so many time but never ever got any response from anyone, I can not understand if you are not going to reply to anyone then what is the point of advertising the job.

My 82 year old mother just got out of this hospital and her whole experience was dreadful and it wasn’t the first time this happened.

The majority of nurses were rude and disrespectful and the food was dreadful. She couldn’t even get a decent cup of tea. It is hard to believe this is a private hospital! The duty of care is just not there.

I’ve told her she should avoid this hospital in the future. I could go on but this post would end up being an essay.

Had some potentially life threatening surgery there, and it went well, so I’m guessing I’m saying awesome doctors, awesome place to be if you need help

My elderly mother had to come here for a hip replacement, due to the ramping at Flinders 3 weeks ago. Talk about silver linings! The staff are absolutely lovely and geniunely caring. The hospital itself is modern, bright and warm. Very comfortable. The food is nice and plentiful - for a fussy eater my mother's plate was generally clean when we visited. For someone who can be a whinger, they wasn't much for her to complain about here lol. The cafe on ground floor is great too with nice coffee and food. Would definately recommend to anyone, especially for orthopedic surgery.

Attended the Emergency Dept last week and was thoroughly impressed with the efficiency and friendliness of all staff at the Calbery. Dr Clive was a breath of fresh air compared to other ED Drs we have had to visit prior to this. He actually listened to the patient's concerns & symptoms and provided a course of action rather than just administering pain relief drugs and sending the patient home. Thank you Dr Clive and the Calvery Hospital Team!

I can’t believe it just happened on my husband today in your emergency department. He is 39.7 ˚C ,his left leg lost feeling and breathless due to heavy cellulitis. Your staff tested his temperature with an inaccurate thermometer, we ask her to change a better one retest it again, omg, she said there is no more thermometer available! Can you imagine there is only one inaccurate thermometer in a hospital emergency room? My husband just get a panadol in nearly 1h waiting, which we already told them did not work on cellulitis at all. No more any other support, just let us keep waiting because you think he is ok with your inaccurate thermometer. Depending on this situation, we went to RAH, and their staff said his situation is emerging at first time, he got professional treatment immediately with no wasting time on waiting. In your emergency room, we just felt be ignored and your staffs are unprofessional, You're playing with patients' lives.

Checked in to Calvary Wakefield orthopaedic for full hip replacement. Arrived at 7am and after being checked in promptly there was no waiting around. Once in recovery staff were nothing short of fantastic. Once taken up to a lovely clean room with nice views I was taken care of by great staff and a very special shout out to Liz who is one of the hardest working caring nurses I have ever met. Rooms could do with small fridges to store drinks. On the down side although the food is ok that’s where it ends I couldn’t eat half of it as it was bland and veggies very over cooked, I feel they would do well to introduce a healthy eating option for those who care about what goes into their body. Generally ok clean and tidy. Check out was a nightmare advised I would be leaving at 10am as the pick up drop off is only 5 minutes wait maximum I advised my ride of the collection time over an hour later still no release as paperwork had not been completed this was frustrating to say the least as my release time and date had been clear from the onset. As parking and drop off/ collection times are paramount in this vicinity this needs to be addressed.

Starting with the positives, Cardiac ward nurses & doctors were amazing I really can’t praise them enough. Food portions & variety was really good. The porters, cleaners & kitchen crew were great. Unfortunately I had two not so nice nurses in ICU, ironically since it’s the one place where you need a little extra care. I didn’t feel comfortable complaining since I didn’t want to risk further issues. All said I gave them 5 stars because the good far outweighs the not so good.

If you are looking for an Eye Specialist, you cannot go past Dr. G Pietris at the Calvary Hospital. He has looked after and treated my eye problems for a number of years, and I highly recommend him. His manner and expertise are beyond reproach. Well done to him and his reception staff.
