The only downside to this place is. Get a bigger coffee mug, one is simply not enough seriously! Smooth, frothy and aromatic.
I am blown away with the daring-ness to put something different in the breakfast menu. And you guys nailed it spot on! Beautiful plating and very delectable! I did not regret coming here at all. Great staff members and the atmosphere fits perfectly with the meals you serve. Modern-rustic vibe. I am coming back!

I ordered the Pulled Pork Benedict, it was average, the pork was dry and the toast was over toasted and hard to chew. My partner ordered the Bruschetta with the Salmon on the side, it was the same issue with the toast and the Salmon was very dry like, it wasn't fresh and it had a fishy taste to it. Nice staff and service that was let down by the food.

Just delicious. Great food paired, cooked and served really well. So many tasty options on the menu it was hard to choose. Many Vegan, Vego, Dairy & Gluten free options clearly marked. Lovely coffee to top it off. Friendly & attentive staff, good inside & outside table options. Highly recommended.

Hidden gem of Mount Gambier! Small cafe that packs a punch with their diverse menu and lovely team. Their homemade baked beans are delicious!

This was my first stop when I arrived in town after so many people had recommended Melzar as the place for brunch. It lived up to its expectations! The Benedict with crispy pork was sensational and I totally cleaned the plate. Friendly service and great coffee

Food is ok but way too much avocado in my plate, eggs are overcooked and only 1 for 3$ extra.
Coffee is average, I know I'm picky with coffee though as I am myself a barista

The food was lovely! Staff are friendly just quiet and needed prompting from us a customers, maybe new staff? Ordered the pesto gnocchi and big brekkie and were impressed by how yummy it was!

We often visit Mt Gambier and on our last trip we decided to try Cafe Melzar and were blown away by the service, and the quality of food. This place is a must visit. I'm a stickler for perfectly poached eggs, these guys nailed it. Will definitely be back!

Got Big Vego and Avo Delight and 2 cappuccinos. LOVED the coffee! It was perfectly extra hot and simply brilliant. The brekkie too is highly recommended in all aspects. Had read all sorts of reviews of this place but our experience was really good. The youngest girl taking the order seemed bit under confident in getting the order right in first few attempts and the staff overall could seem somewhat toooo business like, despite not being overly busy; but a defo visit if touring Mt Gambier.

Had the steak sandwich, tropical fried chicken burger, coffees and juices. Honestly everything was bloody lovely. Definitely the only place to eat in mt Gambier for me from now on!

Vego Breaky - Prob the best breakfast I’ve ever had! Sat outside with my dog on a rather cold morning. Warm plates, food really hot and stayed warm until I finished which can be hard to do with eggs. All the components of the dish cooked perfectly. Holoumi, beans, mushrooms and spinach. Super tasty, satisfying and huge! Great coffee too.

Not a bad breakfast spot. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there is limited dining space but we were lucky enough to get a table. Make sure you ring ahead to book.
The avocado seemed about a day old (bit brown) and the bacon a bit burnt for my liking but the eggs were cooked perfect and the roasted cherry tomatoes were nice

Excellent coffee (& convenient via Skip App also), great food, fantastic service, cosy dining and well priced. Can't ask for much more.

Had a great brunch with friends, food was delicious and the thickshake was amazing. However when purchasing the BLT was not notified of a 50c surcharge understandably they did have a tiny tiny message on the counter
