Cafe De Vilis reviews
72Really like Villis, especially as it is so South Aussie. The story of Villi is inspiring. Love the pies, haven't tried the pasties We usually eat in and the place is always nice and clean and the staff are really helpful and friendly.
Disappointed, wasn't at all busy but they managed to stuff up 3 times with our $100 order.
The girl taking the order was brilliant as was the waiter who got my grandchild a donut when he waited half hr for a pie when we had all finished.
Very poor service and lack of customer focus.also had to wait qhite a long time for food to come out, even after chasing up with counter staff
Very surprised as to what they do have in-store, definitely worth stopping, and now understand why they are always busy
Overall i quite like the chicken schnitzel deals they have. Especially the Mexican schnitzel (must try if anyone has not tried them before)
We were served first and then everyone else in the building was given food before us. We only ordered two chicken parmies with chips. Our only special request was that the chips were crispy yet they were served to us undercooked. They even served staff before us who walked out with bags of food. We ordered at approximately 12: 00am, Wednesday morning 17/03/21. It wasn't busy either, so there was really no excuse to wait 30-40mins for two schnitzels served with undercooked chips. No apology for the wait from the guy who took our payment and served us these below average, barely edible meals. While we waited, we were forced to listen to two female staff members complain about their jobs and other staff members right by the door/beer fridge. Not pleasant to be around. The cafe is for customers, not for staff to whinge loudly. The schnitzels were the worst we've ever had in Adelaide. Just look at the photos and tell me I'm wrong. In my opinion, the old Vilis in Mile End cooked amazing chips and decent food. This new place looks good on the outside but the food is way below average and the pastries/baked goods are always stale because they come from the other store and don't get stocked regularly. The attitudes of the staff are shocking. The new, fancy uniforms compared to the old Vilis can't disguise any of of these facts. They can't even manage to put a smile on. Just drive past and you'll see the sour looks on their faces through the window. There are plenty of South Australians who would love employment but these people aren't it. You'll find better quality people in Centrelink queues.
Very good meal selection along with their famous pie and pastries. Good value for a hearty meal. Sit down or take out menu.
Good for a quick feed or fly by on your way north from the city.
Gravy was lumpy had the film still left in there and just ridiculously hot. Chips also looked just reheated up. Only 3rd time coming too.
Out of the ones I've been to this is by far the best and only one to sell the mega chicken schnitzel worth a try for people with a big appetite
A decent range of dishes on the menu. You can grab something on the run or wait a little for a sit down meal.
The service is always grand.
The place is always clean and tidy.
Always happy to go back for more.
It is my daughter and my usual for the occasional lunch and coffee. Always great food and service. A more open and brighter atmosphere than the original Cafe Dr Villis, although I go there on my own, because it's closer to my home.
So pleasing to see genuine customer service, something that so many retail outlets lack, the food is excellent as are the prices. A very clean and friendly place to have a meal. The coffee is as it should be to the customers order mine is extra hot and that's what I get, I'll be back lol
I had 2 bottles of water, 2 pies & a pastie on 2 plates to carry back to the table. I managed & then I saw someone else walk past with a tray. It would have been nice to have been offered one.
That is the reason I gave 4*. The lady who served me could see I was trying to juggle them. Maybe it was because it was lunch & they were busy - don't know.
I will go back. I will make sure I ask for a tray!
Love it.pie floater hit the spot and the honey log was yummy as.washed down with a creamy soda walked out full as and content.wheel chair facilities and rest rooms provided.no vegetairians.just full on hearty meals.dinne in or take away.
One of the staff was rude, if you clean the tables when you take the plates away there might not be as many flie's trying to share the delicious food
My husband bought a quiche and coffe there for me on the way home from hospital. The quiche was very tasty. I could not eat in cafe had to eat in car as I had ankle surgery. I would go there again.
Schnitzel was too oily from being deep fried rather than cooked on the hot-top. Too many chips and no vegetables. Villies is not helping clients control their obesity. An indictment.
Nice food but drinks and some items on the menu are massively over priced. Pies cost more than at the local servo for the same item. Buying direct should be cheaper.
Stopped for lunch on our way home after leaving Royal Adelaide Hospital. The service was excellent and the food was great
Love this place.
It was so friendly, staff were on top of everything. The customer services at a top notch. The food arrived on time and it was 5 stars worth! Had heaps of car parking areas too and the set up is very good. So ideal for a family or a small gathering of friends.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Their food selection was great and I loved it very much.
