BIG4 Stuart Range Outback Resort

The tent sites were nothing but dirt and gravel, the pool is closed, the pizza shop is closed we ended up having to pay extra to upgrade to a cabin, to be able to escape the heat. Really not impressed

Okay place to stay. Weather was shocking in Coober Pedy so won't hold that against them. Still a work in progress.

Highly overpriced with poor hygiene (dump water directly onto site). The toilets were a disgrace with the crowds and didn’t look like they could cope. I’ve never met the people who cannot aim their pee into the toilet rather than all over it and the floor, nor wipe their bottom and discard it onto the floor rather than the bowl & there’s at least two people who have a bottom half way up their back.
It is a frontier town but you do expect some standards.

The amenities were filthy with only one of the male toilets working. Hand basins were being used as urinals. People were washing there feet in the kitchen sinks. When we complained to staff we were yelled at by them. With them telling us no one else had complained. They wouldn't even come and look at what we had complained about.

We camped, late notice. They were very accommodating. Lovely place, lovely people. Coober Pedy is amazing, and the Big 4 is a great base to explore from.

Loved it here, we stayed on the way back to vic and my partner and I had heard some stories going about the town but this big 4 had the most pleasant reception, cleanliness of facilities, friendly staff, accommodating to being new with towing first timers and by lord were the couple next to us so friendly. The couple next door made us a fantastic dinner to welcome and even checked in on us when the storm hit. I'll never forget the memories made here.

Pretty average. Disappointed with the amount of broken facilities. Broken showers, broken toilets, broken ovens, broken dryers, mouldy cupboard in thw camp kitchen, the list goes on. More importantly, bathrooms were not very clean the whole time we were there, didn't see a cleaner once in two days. Overall the $$ didn't match the facility, and it certainly didn't meet what I've come to expect from a Big 4: - (

A good clean place. It has all you need even tours and its own restaurant. You will need 20c coins though. Showers are not free. However, water is not so simple to get in places so isolated.

WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN! NO POOL and lots of broken bits. One amenities block with 1 shower and 2 toilet were out of order. In the kitchen one of the two stoves were broken and the hot water was out of order. The park has a lot of holes were it looks like they are doing maintenance but after speaking other travellers these holes have been there since last year. This park really needs some repairs. Big 4 price without big 4 quality.

Overcrowded without proper amenities during the school holidays. First time being disappointed at a Big4.
Premium price for a dusty driveway. Only cold showers, and you blame the crowds? Either upgrade your hot water systems, or charge a fair price, or stick to the correct number of clients.

Lovely entrance, friendly staff. Bathrooms are good and clean. Restaurant and tour on site. Great for RV's ect. As we were in a tent we found it extremely hard to get the pegs in. Take a sledge hammer with you.

Great facilities, 20c for 2 minutes showers - well worth it, Great location. LOCK UP your valuables recommended.

Great caravan park highly recommend. It does cost 20c for 2 minutes 40c for 4 mins for a shower but lets face it you are in the middle of nowhere and it is so dry so please support these people.

Nice place, good pizza but a little cramped, we were put into the overflow area which was already overflowing and reception is slow and only 3 showers and toilets and not working most of the time

We returned after a twenty year absence to find a fantastic new facility with the friendliest staff, what a treat. Who cares if you have to pay for water, the showers were very clean the grounds as good as possible.two weeks later we are back again and welcomed like family. We will come back and not such a break in between.

Good place to stay, take 20 cents pieces for the shower. They will only give you 3 dollars of change per site. Try the restaurant as the pizzas are good

If they could cram another van in they would. Annexes touching. Camped top and tail. Totally unsatisfactory. Would never stay there again.

Outback van park with sites around an oval with one clean amenities block in the middle. 20 cents for a 2 minute shower and water pump s for your van tanks also 20 cents to fill. Best pizzas in their onsite restaurant with a lovely hot shower. Also excellent washing machines.

I would give this minus stars if I could, open ground works, strong smell of sewerage and overall not a good place to be

We booked a site from previous Big 4 park so we could arrive late only to find there were no sites reserved find any site you could. Lucky to get a site as it appeared there was only 3 or 4 left and the place was jammed up with vans parked all over the place. No grey water disposal available for my van. Didn't use the ablution blocks so can't comment. As a o/n stay I would prefer to free camp down the road 10 or so ks.
