BIG4 Stuart Range Outback Resort reviews
66Stayed here on our way to NT. Very nice park and friendly staff. Grounds were very well looked after and amenities were clean. Thank you
I enjoyed my 9 days stay here. It has good drive through sites which I need for ease as I’m 13mtrs long.
The management Jamie and Tim plus the girls and guys who work around the park keeping it clean are also polite, courteous and helpful with any enquires. The showers are hot and well cared for. The laundry facilities are also clean and the washers are large capacity. There’s a good play area for the kids.
There wasn’t any noise from the highway after dark and with new extensions happening there’s also wasn’t any concern-able noise.
There are hotel style cabins also but as I didn’t use then I can’t comment on them other than stating there is plenty of parking separate from the caravan park area.
They cook pizza on site and understand soon they will be doing breakfast and already have a shady seating area to enjoy a beverage from the licensed bar.
I will definitely stay here in the future and recommend this Big4 to other travellers.
We got in very late, rang reception to let them know and they were very understanding and welcoming. The organised alternate ways for us to get into our room.
Our room was modern, large and had all the facilities. We were travelling with a 6 month old and was able to do some washing, clean her bottles all without leaving the room. Bed was comfortable and large. Would reccomend and stay again.
Edit
Hate to say this but the owners have decided to put in dividers and cutting the sites in half making it hard to fit caravans in. Only 2 bbq's and only one that works.
By dividing the sites making them smaller. Now most sites you will be unable to put awning out.
Accommodation was really good. But getting charged $9 extra for 1 prawn cut into 4 bits to be added onto my pizza was a bit steep to he honest.
After needing to pay for the time you wish to spend in the shower. After the cleaner comes in early to clean the shower stopping people from have a shower. I can't give a positive review. Left with a sour taste.
NOT recommended for tent camping. The unpowered campground is a rocky dust bowl, with ground too hard to stake into. We all promptly left after trying, despite already paying.
Although we asked to be put in the overflow section i thought $32.00 was a bit extreme for a non powered site & no water.
Friendly staff. But amenities and soap dispensers weren't cleaned and filled every day which was a shame. But otherwise great parking areas
Great place nice and quite.
They need to do a bit better on the cleaning.
And the bathroom needs a little work water pooling at the door not in the shower and no shelf in the shower.
Other than that not to bad.
For$40 per night all you got was electricity. Had to pay for showers, water and the internal drive was more pot holes than road. Not worth the money
Great location in coober pedy.
Powered and non powered sites
Bathroom and laundry facilities. Also a dog wash! ($9)
Playground for the kids
Nice walking track.
Pool was being renovated (?)
Only down side was they say they are open until 9pm yet we got there at 7pm and reception was closed. There was a number to call but unless you're with telsta you won't have service! Had to find another camper to help us to call them.
Wow what a lovely park. We are so glad we stopped here for 2 days. Staff super friendly and well maintained grounds and lots of room not jammed in like other parks in town. A Pizza Restaurant on site dine in or takeaway our pizza was delicious. Showers and Laundry super clean. The new management said they putting in a new swimming pool soon. That will be a real crowd pleaser. Don’t drive by drop in you won’t be disappointed.
The park isn't what it used to be - in need of TLC. Disappointed the pizza restaurant was closed - always a highlight. Will be interested to see if it improves under new ownership.
I wish the new management will take care this place. There is nothing positive except the undercover caravan park. Swimming pool has no water for years, all the facilities are out of date and falls apart. We can’t spend our Christmas in such a sad place, so we have to leave immediately! Luckily we found Riba’s underground camping and caravan park, which is fantastic! All the best to big4 team, please get better!
Big disappointment. For a quick overnight stay we didnt unhook the caravan. The pool was empty and the pizzeria was closed. Being a stinking hot evening we werent going to walk down to the main street.just as well we had some nibbly things to eat and the aircon in the van.
Stayed 4 years ago and the place was a lot more run down this time. Also looked like a construction site with still no pool.
Great place to stop by. Convienient location and plenty of space to park you caravan, motorhome or RV.
Been there twice and will go again. There's nothing they wont do for you, within reason. If your running late to arrive no problems, which happens when your 300ks plus between drinks, there's a friendly voice on the phone to help. Took some lovely star pictures at night over the playground.
We absolutely enjoyed our 2-night stay at the Big4 Stuart Range Campground. The facilities are spotless clean anytime of the day and Yanni and the team are wonderful hosts - we felt super welcome, thank you very much for accommodating us despite the looming challenges, we look forward to be back one day!
