BIG4 Barossa Tourist Park reviews
62Why anyone would want to camp within 2 mtrs of complete strangers is beyond me, get out and enjoy our beautiful country
Lovely clean, green park. Amenities are spacious & clean as well. Dog friendly is a good touch too
Well kept campground, The WiFi is excellent; A download speed of 5.6mbps and an upload speed of 2mbps, with a daily quota of 500MB. Showers and toilets are kept clean, powered sites are available and there is plenty of fresh drinking water.
Great park, clean, local, friendly staff, welcoming to children. 1 star removed because there was zero water pressure but easily fixed by the lovely shower block. A fantastic stay.
We booked 3 cabin's for 3 night's. They were clean, neat and well fitted out.was great to be able to use meeting room instead of trying to fit 7 people into one cabin.
Grounds were immaculate, staff were great, friendly and help full
Will definitely be back and highly recommend
Fantastic park in good location would have been perfect if we good have had nice grass site after spending 2weeks in central Australia where there was only dirt and gravel but other than that very nice park doings a fantastic job for the aussi traveler
Update:
The owner's reply tells me that when staying a night in my fully self-contained van I get the benefit of a whole heap of things that I didn't request and already have myself: a) Internet; b) Toilet and Shower c) Kitchen; d) Barbecue and e) Air conditioning. I certainly don't need and didn't ask for a 'meeting room' and there is a very large Tourist Information Centre in town which provides advice for free. In Summer, I might have used the Pool, but it is Autumn and so off-peak and V cold.
And, I grossly underestimated the cabins - there are a whopping 45 (mostly empty?).
This seems to confirm my point: Why are there costs to RVer's for lots of facilities we don't want, need or use in order to stay a night? The business model is broken.
There needs to be some dialogue on this - not just price setting by entrenched operators.
So,
I think that $40/night for an off-peak RV stay is too much! For a fair price, this would be a 5 star stay.
What you get for $40 is about 30sqM of gravel, access to maybe $2 of power and perhaps 5c of water.
That got me wondering what I was paying for? The answer appears to be for the 22 VACANT cabins! Of 24 cabins, only 2 were occupied.
In contrast, nearly all the van sites were taken up.
Beautiful and clean, gardens are immaculate. Great little pool. Amenities are pretty new and we'll maintained. About pricey at $50 a night. But we do come over Easter, so we are paying a premium.
Check location before you book. We were located right in front of football ground, lots of drifters. Mas as well parked in th er street.
Friendly staff - good amenities and pool. Sites good, especially grassed ones. Close proximity to walking track in park at rear - and oval in front
Visited this Caravan Park recently. Grounds were immaculate and very expansive with large trees and a few areas to relax and walk. It is situated right next to the Town Oval as well.
The staff at the counter weren't overly friendly which was a little surprising. There are a few things for kids to do, but it isn't as good as some of the others close by.
Fantastic place to stay. Beautiful grass sites and good size. Beautifully clean toilets and showers. Staff are great, they are friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.
Very enjoyable park but can be pricey in peak time. Very clean amenities block laundry. Kitchen could be improved
Beautiful park. Lovely clean amenities, friendly staff and beautiful new pool. Would highly recommend a visit here.
Very neat and tidy clean facilities. New pool area great especially with new toilets so close. So central to all the Barossa offers
It was good to be there, away from the Hustle and bustle of going to work and back! Very nice Chalets and a Swimming pool.
Great park. We stayed one night but our cabin was reasonable price, clean I have to say looked brand new. Definatly worth staying there. Great play area for the kids as well.
Excellent location, modern, clean, beautiful grounds. Friendly helpful cheerful staff. Top shelf!
Everything about this Park was great. From staff, swimming area, community hall and the area itself. A great place to visit.
Almost perfect place to relax and enjoy the surrounding area. Only presence of water in the pond would make it perfect
