BIG4 Barossa Tourist Park reviews
62Fantastic location and facilities! The maintenance and office staff are always fantastic we’ve stayed a few times and on the last couple we’ve been lucky enough to get the larger premium grass sites. Last time the bore water strainer failed and lightly flooded and maintenance and office staff were fantastic! Can’t recommend highly enough. Everything is so well cared for and clean (Yes the amenities were empty for pictures).
Good park although it was PACKED due to NYE. Sites aren't very big so you are pretty close to your neighbours. Pool isn't very big but the kids still liked it. We had an ensuite site which was clean and shower was hot. Loads of dogs which I liked however if your not a dog person then maybe get a cabin where they aren't allowed.
Worst experience every. Rude pedantic staff. Made wait 2 hrs wile site was watered and made ready. On arrival at site, it was covered in rubbish, site not watered as advised was happening and found a car parked on site wich I had to wait 1hr for car owner to arrive before I could park and set up my van. Other occupants of sites also complained about service.
Well laid out, good location with sports ovals on one side and a park on the other. Quiet area and a short walk to shops and pubs.
Awesome big site, kids loved the playground and pool.
Really nice and green, mature trees everywhere. We really enjoyed this park.
We stayed in a cabin at Big 4 Nuriootpa in April as part of a group and we had a fabulous time. Great amenities for all ages and we can't wait to go back again.
It is a fabulous venue!
Staff are great!
Had a great four days here exploring all that the Barossa Valley has to offer. We will definitely return, in the not too distant future.
We had the Shiraz 2 cabin, very spacious, clean an everything you could possibly need
Awesome! We LOVE LOVE LOVE Big4 holiday parks! Stayed for 4 nights in May 2023 in a Jay cabin. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped cabin. Check in was a breeze. Front desk staff were helpful, friendly and email communication was swift. Strategic location. No doubt about it, we will definitely stay here the next time we visit Barossa. Highly recommended! Thank you so much Big4 Barossa for making my stay a memorable one.
Staying in the Merlot2 cabin tonight and it's a great cabin and immaculately clean! Great BBQ area and loved the baking paper provided for lining the bbq plate.
Well looked after park.
A basic but clean and tidy cabin- small, annoying things that didn’t make things unbearable but we’re definitely inconvenient-
First cabin had no power, we were quickly moved but luckily hadn’t unpacked much
Bathroom door handle broke meaning the door couldn’t be fully closed then the smoke alarm would sound every time the shower was used and steam was escaping
Toaster not working
Bare minimum cutlery and crockery- everything so small! Tiny saucepan, tiny bowls, tiny spoons!
Window rattling heater- would have been nice to be warm overnight but too loud to sleep with it on!
Not the parks fault but the other patrons weren’t great- lots of loud noise at night, people completely taking over BBQ and fire pit areas and not budging for anyone else, cars constantly speeding through, people parking all over the place haphazardly and blocking roads, I was the only parent supervising my own kids with about 30 other kids at the playground. I don’t know how you’d managed to enforce rules with some people but I think something more could be done.
A great park, friendly staff, the cabin was bright, clean and spacious. We’ll certainly come back and stay longer next time.
What a great place to camp. We stayed march 17-19 as a last minute quick break. We stayed in our own tent on a powered plot. The facilities were excellent and so clean! All staff were very helpful and smiley. We will definitely go back here. Was great value for money.
Allocated what was supposed to be a drive thru site.on arrival at the site there was a large tree at one end in the middle - impossible to drive thru. Phoned the office to advise and requested to go into the empty site next door. We were told that they were fully booked tonight and that they couldn't move us. Took total of 2 hours to get the 9.1m van into the site - cannot put out the awning as we had to park the car beside the caravan. To have our awning out we have to park the Ranger somewhere else.
Tell me what is the point of completing the booking form where you advise the size of your caravan?
Not happy. Would we stay again? Probably NOT! See photos attached.
This Big4 park is great. Wonderful drive thru sites with some shade. Amenities clean, plenty of, bbqs spotless.
A beautiful well kept park. Loads of things to do for kids of all ages. Cabins we clean and well equipt. The staff are friendly and check-in was easy!
We booked in for 2 nights as we had a family event on in the Barossa.
We had a powered site, staying in our Tvan. On arrival could not believe we had to make camp on a gravel / dirt patch.
There were a number of grassed sites that were not used the 2 nights we were booked in for. A lesson learnt we will never book a site without checking first if site is grassed. We stay a lot off grid and we expect the unexpected but not when paying $45 a night for dirt. I think customers should be warned this is what they can expect when booking. Very dissapointed normally happy campers.
Great stay. Pool area clean, as were the general common areas. Rànge of sites from tent camping to large family cabins. Our cabin was very clean and comfortable. Would recommend this site to anyone
The owners of the park were extremely helpful and kind.
We arrived on Boxing day evening for an overnight stay, however we couldn't find the cabin key in the safe, turns out there were some mistakes made when booking over the phone: the booking was made for Nov instead of Dec and I didn't check the confirmation email.
The owners came out to the reception after hours and offered us to stay in an available cabin for free. We couldn't thank them enough for their kind and generous gesture.
Thank you! We will be back.
Nice park. We have a large grassed site towards the beginning of the park which the dog loved. Sites are nicer than the older sites within the park so luck of the draw. Amenities are ok (showers surge so need to be careful not to burn yourself). Would be happy to stay again
Thank you for a wonderful stay! The park was so beautiful and well maintained. The Premium Ensuite Sites are new and so very nice! Park is very well maintained and reception stunning.
