Beach House Cafe reviews
50 Wow, how is it that I've been coming to Victor Harbor for many years and never been to this place before? Probably because it's at Encounter Bay!
Anyway, glad i popped in for dinner with the family, had 3 of the nicest wood oven pizzas.
I'll definitely be back to try other things on the menu.
Thanks
Great location and atmosphere however food was average. Schnitzel was over cooked and stringy and butter chicken just didn’t taste right.
A lady who was serving was very rude.indian food was not good.pizza was fine.not recommended.over rated.
Friday night is very busy at the Beach House Cafe even in the middle of winter. Bookings absolutely recommended for Friday night which we did.
Very easy to communicate with these guys on Facebook if you wish to do so.
We had pizzas which were generously topped. Nice flavour, but there's room for more kick.
Wines are reasonably priced, but if you want to byo bottled wine, it's $15.00 per bottle, which these days is ok.
Would love to visit when there's live music happening, but not sure when this is.
This is one of the worst Restaurants i ever been to. Authentic North Indian food is truly a misleading. They have Serve us frozen Nan bread and Packed curries from the supermarket and calling Authentic seriously! It is a Fake Indian restaurant run by few aussie blokes
Grabbed a couple of meals from here now. The Indian is to die for. The service is great and being able to sit back and enjoy a cold beer whilst waiting for your order is absolutely brilliant.
As visitors to V H how are we to know "this is the beach house" and you need to book! HE was rude, but appreciate her comment about booking due to C19. HE offered high stools, then as e decided to leave, she offered a table. Get it together guys.
A shame as we enjoyed our visit last October, not sure we'll try again.
OVERRATED AND OVER PRICED!
Wish I had read further reviews before wasting my hard earned money here!
Clearly a place where the only the locals are welcome and more like a front bar than an eatery/takeaway with food to match!
The guy who took our order was rude and arrogant. Odd vibe. Whilst waiting, the manager was pacing back and forth with her glass of wine in hand. Felt like I was in a scene from Prisoner!
Smallest pizza I've ever been served and to boot.tasteless! Supreme with no topping! Curry was fatty and the size of an entree! Never again!
Only got a takeaway order from here. The pizzas were a little too salty and some of the olives still had pips In them. The hot chips were beautiful and the kids loved them. Was told order would be ready after 25 mins, it was ready after 45 mins. The atmosphere in the cafe was going off on a Tuesday night, probably would have been better to dine in. May give it another crack when in the area.
Friendly place with beach hut atmosphere. Various foods from Australian to Italian and Indian. Quality is surprisingly good. I would recommend that you visit.
Bloody awesome
Ray, and the gang do a brilliant job
Old school wood oven pizza and still going strong with the stone grill
Thanks heaps
Amazing pizza and wedges. Great local cider and wines. Staff are outstanding. Views are sublime. Highly recommended.
The worst Indian food I have ever eaten, under cooked chicken, everything tasted like boiled water, and that's surprising considering most of it was oil.
Wasn't sure what to expect But was pleasantly surprised the service and the quality of food.
Please treat yourself and come and have a meal
This place is great, very consistent with food and service, lovely outlook over the ocean, one of our favorites
Worst pizza I have ever eaten. Firstly they forgot our phone order so had to wait for them to make them. Secondly I have never seen such small pizzas. Yes we ordered the small as opposed to the large but these were tiny. But in the end it was a good thing as most of both went in the bin. The base was thick and tasteless and half cooked. The Mexican was just horrible. The supreme was quite ordinary but the extra anchovy was yum. Overall very disappointing for our first time and such a shame as we are new to the area and love pizza.
Great atmosphere and great food. Get there on a weeknight for a relaxed evening, or a live music night for an upbeat vibe.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Restaurant has great ambience with an eclectic collection of styles. Great location opposite the beach. We enjoyed two wood fired oven pizzas a regular Beach House Supreme with extra cheese and a large Shark Alley for $47. Price was on the high end but reflected in the quality. Restaurant can get quite busy so book ahead to dine in.
Absolutely fantastic. Had my birthday lunch and drinks, entertainment by renowned artist. Great staff and service. Extremely busy venue but the staff and Ray the owner showed no signs of stress as they served everyone.
Highly recommended.
Prices are very reasonable and affordable for a a beachfront experience
Cheers to Ray and his staff.

Absolutely the single worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was treated with nothing but contempt and rudeness. Staff clearly believe customers are a burden. Food was adequate but not worth the taste it has left in my mouth.
