Beach House Cafe reviews
50Great vibe, live music and nice pizzas when we went even thought they were a little burnt around the edges. Been a few times and always head there when down south.
We ordered Indian and a steak on Hot stone.
The steak was great, the Indian was terrible.prob the worst we have had.
Ordered a Beef Vindaloo for takeaway the other night. I was really impressed with it. Could taste the authentic Indian flavours, and it was SPICY! Just the way I like it! Will definitely be going back for more curry.
Had a steak on the stone grill, which was excellent and I'd definitely order it again, but the salad which came with it was pretty disappointing. As someone who really enjoys a good salad, I'd hoped for more than a few small pieces of iceberg lettuce. The dressing was good, though.
The others at my table had pizza and garlic bread, and they really enjoyed these items.
Prices were reasonable, and the environment was cosy.
Only had curries, but wouldn't recommend them, weren't super recognisable. The palak paneer came with no paneer! Rice and naan were pretty poor too.
We arrived and found a table with no sign and clean, and assumed it was fine for dinner. The waitress walked up and placed a reserved sign on the table as we were about to order, then told us to sit outside (it's sub 10 degrees). We then asked for some help with a taxi service to get us to Victor Harbor, as we aren't locals - the waitress stated she couldn't help.
Looked like a great atmosphere, but really not impressed by our experience.
Great Food, completely Full of Diners.
Will definitely be happy to enjoy your Hospitality again.
Book a table with chairs and regular height, but get taken to table with backless stools and high bench. Made to feel guilty by taking regular dining table. Have to then line up for 15 minutes to order and collect a bottle of wine for the table. Next have to head up to bar to order food! Food arrives in reasonable time, so order a bottle of water. Sorry, you have to head to the bar to order your water! Why am I made to feel guilty to order my food and drink? Have to say, look after your customers, We have been attending for years, but never felt very welcome, so must admit I will not return.
What an awesome place, if your in Victor visit this local restaurant.
Food great, service great and great ambiance.
Also great value for money.
Great place to eat, super friendly staff, awesome atmosphere. Pizza, curry perfect combo. The Seafood pizza was delicious and curry was too! We will be back again.
A ton of character, great service, food and atmosphere. Fair prices and very busy. You need to book in advance. Definitely on our list of must do, when we visit again
I understand why you need to book now! Place was so busy however all expectations were set and the food was excellent. Will be going again
Easy street parking. Fantastic vibe, great taste in music. Pizzas were excellent, not too over the top with their toppings! Cocktails went down way too smoothly. And the staff were super friendly, always happy to help!
Pizzas were great. The crust is outstanding. 'The Bluff' Pale Ale is excellent. Looking forward to going back again to try the house menu.
We rang these guys and booked in for tea for our wedding anniversary they gave us the best seat in the house the food was fantastic the service was good totally recommend them.thank you for everything for our wedding anniversary last night
A little gem in Encounter Bay always busy any night of the week, pays to book.
Great variety, wood fired pizza are a treat, drinks are reasonable.
A fantastic atmosphere and always seems busy. Super friendly and relatable staff. The wood oven pizza’s are cooked beautifully but needs a more flavour in the sauce/toppings.
We went in for takeaway pizza and Indian food. Very pleasant girl took our order and said it would take 40min. Her service is the only reason we gave any stars at all. We decided to have a drink and wait. At 40min my husband checked and was told the pizza was in the oven. At 55min we were told the curry wasn't ready. We left with our takeaway after waiting 1hr 10min. Frankly I wasn't hungry anymore but we ate pizza.it was average. For $60 for two 12" pizzas I expect better.
We haven't had the curries yet (for tomorrow) so in fairness can't comment on the quality, but for the curries to be unready after that length of time just suggests a disorganised kitchen. We won't be back.
My favourite place. Miss the Bands though. Another COVID pest. Definately need that to get going again. Miss the crowd, and the people, staff and the atmosphere oh did I mention the food?
