Christmas lunch with the family. Hosts are always amazing, this was our 4th year celebrating here and it was by far the best

Food and ambience is great. Can be noisy when fully booked but just goes to prove that the place is popular.

Attended a memorial service of a friend. Beautiful grounds and room. Nice staff. Clean toilets.
Would like to return for a meal.

Had lunch at the pub but didn't actually visit Auchendarroch house. Was on an organised bus trip.meal great

Auchendarroch House is an iconic venue in Mount Barker in the Adelaide Hills. It is a beautiful historic building that has been modernised inside. There is plenty of onsite parking and a cinema complex next door. Auchendarroch house itself has 2 restaurants and spacious seating. The staff are always top-notch and the quality of food has always been excellent despite several changes over the years.

Took our friends here for their first visit, they were as impressed as we’ve always been. Lovely cakes and warm, log fire powered ambiance, the perfect antidote for winter’s bleak evenings.

Always enjoyable meals here. A lovely roaring fire near us added to the warmth on a cold night. The food was great and we were looked after very well by attentive and friendly staff. Thank you!

Nothing like going out for a meal not far from home and not only having a fab meal but also revisiting fabulous staff who have been working at Auchendarroch House for years which make the dining experience even better! We had an amazing garlic and cheese pizza bread, salt n pepper squid and also garlic prawns which didn't skimp on the garlic.

Prices on the website were a lot cheaper than on the menu at Tavern. Schnitzel was small for the price, $23. Nice place and staff were nice but pricey for lunch menu.

The mussels were a treat, some of the best I've had, the risotto I was told by herself were cooked from scratch. Well done. The casual and comfortable dining area where you can have a conversation without yelling over the background noise. All in all a terrific place for a relaxed meal.
We will be back soon.

Just had Christmas Lunch outing for 65+ people, in a private room. Large serves of excellent food. No wonder we keep coming back.

We recently worked as a supplier to a wedding on Sat night with our photobooth at Auchendarroch House and I just had to write a review!

Michelle and her team looked after us from the get go. They were attentive, offering us water and drinks, letting us park close for setup, offering us a piece of left over cake, checking in with us the whole night, coming and chatting to us and made us feel really welcome and not just hired hands. They worked the room perfectly and their attitude towards guests and their hospitality was 100% better than I have seen at any wedding venue we have worked.

I would highly recommend the team at Auchendarroch House for any wedding as you will be in safe and friendly hands!

I had my wedding reception dinner at Auchendarroch House on August 22nd 2020. Our reception plans changed about 4 times within the last 6 weeks before the wedding because of unpredictable covid restrictions, but about 10 days out from the wedding we got in contact with Michelle from Auccendarroch. She was so helpful and understanding of our situation and I just felt at ease as soon as we spoke. The function room was gorgeous, ornate and intimate for us and our 13 guests and required little decoration of our own. The food was delicious, and they even cut up and served our wedding cake beautifully. Throughout the evening Michelle and the staff were so lovely and made sure to check in with us to ensure we were enjoying our night. 100% recommend Auchendarroch for any function!

Absolutely wonderful food (seriously great) at reasonable prices.
Very nice atmosphere with great wait staff.
Doesn't get too loud even when busy as the very high ceiling takes away the sound.
Fantastic for an evening meal. Make sure to come here if you're around Mt Barker

Upon arrival we were greated with warm smiles, Dean was our server and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and happy with our meals, Steve is one of the managers and was very professional and thanked us for coming to the recently refurbished restaurant.
Meals were wonderful so fresh and tasty.

We arranged to have an impromptu small reception at Auchendarroch after my daughters wedding. (22nd August) Michelle was very helpful and accomodating in the lead up and then bent over backwards for us on the night of the function. The staff were personal and attentive without being obtrusive, the meals were beautiful and served quickly even though there were many other diners that night. We were given a private function room which was decorated so tastefully and had soft lighting which created a romantic and intimate atmosphere and was the perfect size for our group of 15 people. The wedding cake which we bought with us was served beautifully on plates with cream and garnish. I can't speak highly enough of our experience here. It was a beautiful, memorable way to finish off a significant day in our family.

WOW, spacious and friendly. Food was great, atmosphere - Happy, there was laughter in the next room, (something rare these days) the staff all had smiles on their faces. The Chef attended our table asking how the meal was. PRICES affordable, I had 2 pieces of grilled fish with vegetables, WOW again, real Fresh veg not frozen.the other meal was bangers and mash, I was told it was the best sausage he had ever had at a resteraunt. We were a bit depressed when we got there but when we left we were ellated. THANK YOU everyone. 2020 has been difficult but you made us feel there is a life out there. We would give you 10 stars. (But your choice is only up to 5 stars) we are a very satisfied customer, oh yes I almost forgot, social distancing and cleanliness was excellent.
