Arkaba Hotel

Had a fabulous Melbourne Cup Luncheon experience with a group of friends. Service was excellent, and the food was perfect. Everyone at our table enjoyed the three course menu and the friendly staff who looked after us.
Well done, Arkaba team.
We will be back.

I love coming to the Arkaba Hotel for some relaxation and to unwind. The rooms are always clean and welcoming.

Went to the Adelaide Wine lunch at the wonderful Arkaba Hotel.
Still in renovation mode and the vibe is awesome!

Disgusting service, staff refused to check us in due to my partner miss placing his ID, provided other ID as well as credit card which was used for the booking. Also provided the staff my ID and still refused us entry. Staff could see I was pregnant and still yet refused to help out. Wouldnt recommend this place to any one.

Great place to stay, and a lovely location! Was only for a brief work function, but would love to have stayed longer.

This is.my fav place to stay in South Australia very relaxing environment, with stone fire making the lounge area warm and nice, also small casino for fun time and staff very polite and humble, i got good deals twice as compare to other known hotels this one is much more better. Room was very nice and clean everything was so amazingly perfect for stay. Highly recommend. Try once you will not regret it.

We now stay here whenever we travel to Adelaide, there is a small shopping center and woolies located right behind so easy to grab what snacks etc you need for your room without having to drive anywhere and a bottle shop also there, staff are friendly rooms spotless and comfortable and foods good.

Really poor service by the manager of the dining room last night.

Waited over 10 minutes at the bar while I was completely ignored, when I finally called out for service, the lady was angry and confrontational.
She charged me $42 for 2 glasses of wine.
When I worked out what had happened, I lined back up, and spike to a lovely young man at the bar, who said he would grab the manager and get it sorted out.

The manager was the same angry woman that served and over charged me.

I explained what had happened and she proceeded to give back what she said was the cost of 1 drink - however the change still did not add up.
When I politely pointed this out she argued with me, telling me I was wrong, until I physically showed her on my phone that she had short changed me. At this point, she all but threw my change at me.
I get that it was a busy night, but it's not my fault she made an error, and the way she treated me was absolutely unacceptable. If this lady hates serving people so much, she certainly shouldn't be a manage in the hospitality area. I will never return to this business and will not recommend it to anyone.

Have been coming to the Arkaba for years and have never really had a bad word to say about the pub (apart from the crazy waiting times for ordering food!) until being greeted rudely the other night by a girl with blue hair behind the bar who just didn’t seem to want to be there.

The food was nice but I ordered a full schnitzel and it came out the same size as another on our table who ordered a half. On complaint the staff came back with a message from the chef who advised he cut the half too big. Kudos to the staff who tried but that excuse from the chef I thought was an absolute crock. I'm not sure we will be returning soon as even trying to book for a table of nine was difficult.

Was in the other day and sadden to hear that the awesome bartender I’ve been served from before (Alyssa) had found new employment, gonna miss her and her jokes! Stayed around anyways with some friends for a few beers. New menu looks and tastes good! Looks like maybe a new bar manager? Not sure, but I think her name was Julie or Julia (sorry, I can’t recall) but she did an amazing job throughout the shift overall with her service and just awesome attitude, felt like she really wanted to be at work and was happy to chat with customers. Will come back again, love this Sports Bar!:)

Great hotel in the wrong location. We stayed in a spa room and loved the art Deco decor and the dim almost 1940' lighting. The facilities are excellent but being on a very busy road, we could hear the traffic all night, but the hotel is well worth the money. We'll be back for sure.

Attended a training session. Good parking and the snacks and coffee were good throughout the day.

Beautiful. Architecture. Vast selection of Alcohol Drinks & other coffee etc. Friendly & Attentive staff members, Intimate lounge & dining areas.

No dancing because of covid was a shame

Treated like an absolute jokr. No issues, asked to be Brest onlised got kicked out do not recommend as a venue to soxialide, have a bet. Treated disgusting by staff.

Food was excellent, service appalling.
Ordered 2 medium rare steaks, waited 30 minutes, four people ordered well after us, but received there food first, as it turned out, the bar staff hadn't put ours through, no apology no nothing.
Once again, appalling service.

Excellent place to stay and very convenient to the city. The supermarket over the main road is just brilliant. The food is superb at this hotel.
