Alma Tavern reviews
66Great glutin free food. Quality and selection. Accidentally ordered non gf and they changed no question asked. Now a regular. Great people.
We decided to go to the Alma Tavern for dinner catch up with long standing friend of 45years plus who now lives happily in Darwin. Firstly we sat in lounge area and enjoyed pre dinner drinks - a great wine and beer selection to choose from. Dinner was thoroughly enjoyed in the dining room - accompanied by a bottle of Bleasedale Sparkling Shiraz. Can highly recommend this venue.
The beer garden is a really nice spot to have a beer or eat something. The fish and chips were really good, but the ribs were a bit plain. Still, good place to eat, the pizza looks very tasty, maybe I'll try it next time.
Excellent pub with great facilities.
Food is quality pub grub with a good menu, and friendly, prompt service.
Garlic bread is mouth-watering!
One of the better pubs in Adelaide.
We celebrated our son's 21st in the Upstairs function room last night.
Polly and Kyle at the Alma were fantastic. From the day I met Kyle then Polly, I knew we were in good hands. They did not fail to deliver. Polly your attention to detail and Kyle for keeping us in the loop rightvup to the hour of the function made this occasion a stress free and memorable one. Thank you both.
A big thank you to the security guards who assisted our mother in law (wheel chair) getting up and down the stairs. You guys were amazing.
Definitely would not hesitate in recommending the Alma.
Used to be a Sunday staple, but poor service and the same old looks despite renovations leads to lack of customers and brings the vibe down to make this an average place.
A great place to relax and have a meal.
The food is delicious and reasonably priced.
The staff are friendly and offer quick service.
I love the Beer garden.
Service is quite good, food didn't live up to expectations, vibe for lunch is low key and predominantly older patrons. Overall not bad, just not great
Always good, new menu improved on an already terrific pub menu, get the steak sanga, one of the best in Adelaide
Great meal. Exceptional staff, polite, efficient, friendly and very helpful. Restaurant was clean and well set out. Overall a really nice experience.
The food and company was lovely. But the prices were a bit dear. And I found the menu difficult to choose from due to dietary constraints.
Really great place for a Sunday sesh. Good music, great range of beers both on tap and by the bottle. Really good atmosphere with plenty of space to sit and relax with friends after a big week. The food was great. Well priced, hot, fresh and came out relatively fast.
Tried the portahouse beef schnitzel in the dining area. Really great and an OK price. Staff were very friendly as well.
Recently went here for work lunch. Service was excellent and food was good. Love the beer garden area. On this most recent experience, I'd definitely come back. The only reason for 4 star is that I've had some very disappointing food in the restaurant area on a couple of occasions about a year ago.
Recently updated. Comfy bar stools and lower tables. Great selection of alcoholic beverages. Good choice for menu items.
What a great lunch. Had the scotch and a bottle of footbolt.
Food was delicious
Service was fantastic
Have not been before but will def be back, thanks guys
The Alma is a great space to chill out in the afternoon and then get loose at night time, really great place.
Paid $5 entry to see the main even of a punch up between two drunks on the dance floor. The soundtrack to this was disappointing music mix from a disc jockey who could barely jockey.
Ramsgate offers all of this for $0 entry with a seaview
Staff were helpful and cheery! We had a trade Christmas function there and the food and drinks were all good.a wide selection and enough of it!
Was invited to the Alma Tavern for Christmas drinks by a client.
Cosy area curtained off with tasty and abundant food.
A dedicated bar person could have been provided as there were some waiting times for drinks.
