A Hereford Beefstouw reviews
60Can't go wrong with Tuesday by one get one free burger meal Deal. One of the best burger in Adelaide.
My favourite place to take hubby who is a big steak eater (I myself not so much but I love the ribs and lobster tails!).
Lovely place, great staff and great food/drinks.
Toddler enjoys the sausages and great options rather deep fried foods that pubs always offer the kids.
Service was Stella, every one know this place costs a pretty penny. But definitely worth it for a birthday or something.
Good service, but unfortunately the meals were average. I ordered a 500g ribeye that was smaller than my wife's 350g hanger steak.meat had next to no seasoning also.
Meat quality was nothing special unfortunately either, for the prices you expect better.
Went for Fathers day meal, 3 course menu, also had a children's menu.
Found steaks very tender, and a good size feed of ribs.
The garlic butter on steaks wasn't very garlicky & steaks although tender, I have had better ones before here.
The Pork Belly entrees was very tasty & tender, and choice of dessert- Pana Cotta or sticky date pudding with icecream was very tasty.
Plenty of street parking.
The food was great, the service was good, the timing of delivery was terrible and they pretty much kick us out because "our time was up" not because we wasted time ordering or eating, just because it took them nearly an hour to deliver our order
The chef needs to learn how to cook a 'blu' steak - my 100 day dry aged beef (rib eye on the bone) 500gm at $95 was over done.
Also, get a better wine list, limited.
Poor customer service from Joshua claimed friend that booked then updated booking lied about speaking to a human and he must've spoken to voicemail
Our lovely friends called to upgrade our booking to 6. However when we arrived, they hadn't upgraded. Joshua came out and basically accused my friend of not calling and was absolutely disgusting about the way he handled himself. He even said the call log on our phone did have enough time to speak to someone etc.
We would have understood saying there was an error and it was an accident. But the way Joshua carried himself and the situation was disgraceful.
I hope you look at hiring more customer focused staff who don't treat people that poorly.
Had a mate book a table for 4 and then called to change it to 6 no problem
Turned up and they claimed to have no knowledge of it and told my mate he must not have as staff don't recall it
When confronted with phone records they then claimed that a 30 second conversation wasn't long enough to change a booking number and all but called my mate an outright lier and refused to even apologise
A simple sorry and we are at capacity at the start would have been completely understandable and avoided the drama
Instead now have lost multiple repeat customers
Absolute embarrassment!
Delightful food!
However that doesn't match the fact that our order took more than 50 minutes to arrive and then we were kicked out before we could order dessert in lieu of the 2hour max limit on every booking during covid restrictions.
Want to put a time limit to the bookings? Fair enough, just bring your food on time and show a bit of respect to your costumer.
Overall the steak was delicious and the service both attentive and pleasant.
A hair in our starter and one of our sides forgotten was the only dampener on what was a nice dinner.
They did replace the starter and got the side out quickly though.
The service was lovely. I did feel let down by the food. The steak was ok but the fact that you can only get chips.not baked, roasted or mashed potatoes was a let down. The mushroom ‘sauce’ as they called it was horrible and way overpriced.
Actually food not too bad, it a little bit salty. 100 day dry aged beef a little bit hard. Some surprise on the green bean vegetable.
Environment is quite good, but too hot in there, and need to wait 30 mins for the main course.
Average customer service
Chateaubriand was cooked perfectly - tasted immense, one of the best steaks I have ever had, accross the world. Service also excellent.
Great value two for one burgers Tuesdays and always very delicious chips are unreal. Staff are also great
We had an ‘okay’ dining experience on a Thursday night. Similarly to other reviews, despite being not very busy, the service was fairly inattentive. The food was nice and overall, the Entertainment Book discount aligned experience with price but I wouldn’t be rushing back here.
First time in Adelaide and the first night dining here. And WON'T BE BACK!
The experience we had wasn't up to standard.
No greeting, not knowing we have booking and special request. (Our anniversary)
It seem that the waiters doesn't want to work there.
I know it was a Good Friday, most of the people would like to stay with friends and family. But if you rostered to work, then do your best, not to give us your bad attitude and drama.
The Steak is good, but the atmosphere and lack of service had made our anniversary a very bad memory to remember.
Arrived just after 9pm to be told the grills were sbut off and can't be seated. Opening hours say they close at 11: 30pm. Extremely disappointed
Highly recommended, great wines, great meat and staff that guide you on the best cook level based on your type of meat. Awesome desserts.
