1923 Restaurant

We are so sad that our favourite cafe has gone through so many changes, so many new faces and new business partners, we don’t like it. We just want the other team back, NOTHING like the kitchen weekend dream team is what they called them the food was always the best. Eventhough we still get to have a great laugh and hilarious banta with Rachela at the front, the food just isn’t what it was and depending on who’s making the coffee on the day. Hope it goes back to what we loved, or we won’t be coming back

Just randomly dropped into this gorgeous cafe today for a late afternoon coffee between appointments. Its a bit hidden from the main Blackwood strip but well worth finding. As a brekaholic Ill be back soon. (Brekki menu looks fab!)
Really enjoyed the warm friendly service - owner even let me stay past their close time so I could finish some work. Love the decor and surrounds and menu looks lovely so cant wait to come back. Do yourself a favour and drop in.

Our normal Sunday brunch spot, always excellent home styled cooked food. Sensational coffee and the best warm personal service from Anthony, Rochelle and the team!

Driving through Blackwood and decided to stop for a coffee ️
And weren’t we glad we did had a look at the menu ordered a chicken Cesar salad and a chicken bacon salad roll and absolutely delicious 5 stars
Service was fabulous. Nothing beats a family business.

A beautiful little Cafe in the hills, they do excellent food and coffee. The staff and owners are always lovely to see. I highly recommend this place.

1923 has been our 'Local' since we started building our home in the area, and we've never once been disappointed. A family owned and run business, going to 1923 feels like visiting a warm and inviting neighbor, who just happens to make the best coffee in the area.

Amazing lunch, our first meal out since early March and it didn't dissapoint. A a very pleasing serve of wholesome food, fresh and tasty. So welcoming, we will be back again very soon.

Visited this beautiful place yesterday and it was jam packed full of people but still able to get a table thanks to the beautiful staff who even though they were very busy quickly accommodated us by dropping everything to clean the table. Our food was delicious, flavourful and good value. The coffee is so good and the staff were very lovely. We will be back more for sure

4 of us popped in for a morning coffee and cake. We chose to sit outside which is undercover and dog friendly. Order at the counter, friendly staff, good service and reasonably quickly provided. Coffee, tea and cakes were all very nice. Would recommend.

Really very great tasting food and coffee. The place was bright and welcoming. Upon recommendation I went with some friends and we all absolutely enjoyed it. Very busy little spot, I think booking is a must hard to get a table.

Good coffee and cakes. We spilt a coffee, seconds after it had been delivered which was totally our fault. The coffee was replaced instantly and the table tidied. They refused our offer to pay again despite it being down to us.

Try eating breakfast somewhere else and you keep thinking of what you are missing on the 1923 menue.marie is a real gem in 1923 kitchen.the food is magnificent and wonderful presentation.

Great wait staff and lovely atmosphere. Coffee mug $5 was excellent as were the banana pancakes $15. Well worth a visit.

About this place: Amazing & delicious food served fresh. Great smooth tasting coffee good flavour. Service friendly, bubbly & very welcoming. Atmosphere buzzing, clean, going on. Appearance new, hip, place to be. Overall a very good experience haven't had a good food and coffee like this in a long time.

Love the new look, love the new logo, love the new menu, love it all. Well worth the wait for the reopening only to have the absolutely BEST coffee anywhere after waiting for the doors to open again. The new blend is to die for, creamy, silky and so delicious. My breakfast was amazing! Congrats guys job well done

What a great experience for lunch with the kids today at the newly opened shop. Been before was very lovely but the changes make such a nice atmosphere and very homely. My salt & pepper squid and the kids dippers were so delicious and a hit with the little one. Very enjoyable time
