Friendly service, fresh brekkie, lots of seating available outside - I’m a writer and it’s a perfect space to work from on a sunny day.

Service was good but coffee and food not so much. Bacon wasn’t cooked properly and my coffee wasn’t hot enough and tasted sour

Place was well over capacity on Saturday it’s not a good look especially when you are new to the neighborhood. No covid Marshall present. No manager present. Two extremely stressed girls on there own another prime time example of owners who just don’t give a beep about their staff. Plus can I just say, I’m sick of getting a wonderful coffee in the morning and then after my shift in the afternoon, the coffee has left the building ands it’s really really really bad. Milk split, burnt coffee, boiling milk. Just awful. I want to support you but please take training all staff on coffee into consideration

The Coffee was served cold and my cake was dry. The coffee and food are too inconsistent. My food was bland and the side of beans came out of a can. Was looking forward to coming here all week. Severe let down and will not be back until coffee is better and food not so overpriced

Tasty food and good coffee. Really nice barista, and lots of extras you can add to your breakfast order.

What a shame, was our favourite place to come for mother’s group but experience today was not pleasant at all. Breakfast was below average not good. The eggs were horrible, it was always so great that’s why we kept coming back. I noticed the old team werent there so that’s maybe why these were new people. Won’t return

Went to meet a friend here over the weekend, the experience wasn’t great. The staff didn’t know what they were doing while taking my order after we waited in a line for some time and their coffee wasn’t the best very watery. My breakfast was cold and just look like it was chucked on the plate. Disappointed as my friend said it was a nice place

Horrible burnt coffee. Lady out the front quiet rude and abrupt. Has potential this cafe, but food and coffee taken a huge turn for the worse. Need new staff that can cook and Make a decent coffee

Place really has gone down hill from the bitter burnt coffee to the sloppy food but to the staff who really have no idea what their doing. Took the girl so long to just clean off the table for us to sit. Isn’t the same anymore was such a great place.

First time I’ve been, recently moved into the area last week. Stopped in for a latte and a small bite, coffee was incredible with really good latte art which I love to see first thing in the morning. Puts a smile on my face, banana bread was a touch dry but that’s all really. Will be back daily for my amazing coffee

Excellent service down to earth staff. Nailed down the basics from the quality of the sourdough to the housemate beans on our big brekkies. Generous serves reasonable prices and coffee is definitely up there. The kind of place with more than one thing on the menu to get excited about. We'll be back:)

Weird tasting food, very bland and coffee needs working on. Staff were really cold towards the table

Its been a while since I have been to 1923. I stopped in on Saturday and met the new owners and have to say they are just lovely. They were so warm and inviting and made me the best cup of coffee I have ever had. Keep up the great work guys and I will see you next weekend.

My name is Anthony and I am the old owner of 1923. I don’t usually review or respond to reviews but when people are making false accusations which are impacting the well being of another young family, I find it hard not to step in. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and reviews but making unsubstantiated comments is morally wrong. Please get the facts first before defaming anyone, especially when you are dealing with another persons livelihood. Please use this platform for its intended purpose and leave emotion out of it. I am grateful for all the love and support my family has received over the years and I only hope you can extend this love onto the new owners. Please give these decent people the chance they deserve.

This place is all over the place, I ordered a coffee today and it came out and it was great then I ordered another one and it was bitter cold and watery? Ever heard of quality control? Do you have the same barista?
When my food was passed to me over the table the young man had very bad body odor. It’s not a good look or smell

Heard so many great things about this place from the family and came to see what the hype was all about, well wasn’t that a shame. The coffee was burnt and like milky water and the breakfast wasn’t anything I would talk about. Real disappointed we were looking forward to a good meal

The fritters were dry and it’s missing something in presentation! The love is not there!
Don’t think we can support it cause the atmosphere wasn’t the same there was no banter or liveliness but the guy at the front was struggling to do everything it was greatly noticeable but was trying his best! But don’t know what they are going to do it’s nothing like before which is disheartening as we have been going there since the beginning. Time to find a new local

Good food, good coffee and great service on the weekend, the girl serving us was heaps funny and looked after us well. Would highly recommend

My hat goes off to the lovely young lady who served us on Thursday who was by her self serving us and then having to make our coffees when the place was completely full. She even gave us a smile and a joke and gave our daughter toys to play with just so she would be amazed while we had to wait for our food. She deserved a medal after that performance. We will be back again to see you
