1802 Oyster Bar - Coffin Bay reviews
67I have been to this restaurant two times a year apart, and the experience is largely the same. Food tasted ok at times, however the serving sizes for what you pay is very small. We were also left waiting a very long time in between servings of the ‘share experience’. Generally, staff should be attentive to when courses are completely and promptly send out the next course, however we were waiting about 40 mins between the entre and mains.
My experience was out of this world. I ordered the baby octopus and king fish which was just so awesome and my wonderful waitress was Mia. Her customer service skills were unmatched and she would greet me quickly with my food and drinks like there was an emergency (there was an emergency, I was hungry!) 10/10 experience would recommend to anyone!
One of the best meals we have ever had. Service spot on, friendly but not intrusive. Everything cooked to perfection, lovely blend of flavours bringing out the best of every ingredient. Keep up the good work 1802, we'll be back
Great view across the Bay. No space left outside, should have booked, just as nice inside. Service was impeccable, lovely, just attentive enough, not intrusive. Our meals were great. Oysters, lobster slider, mussels.all so good.
Amazing place and super dog friendly! From the minute we got there we were greeted straight away, everyone was all smiles and super polite. They brought out water for our dogs (and us of course) and the service was absolutely immaculate the whole way through. Staff were knowledgeable, food was served promptly and tasted incredible. Staff were also very attentive throughout making sure our meal and experience was going well and drinks were always topped up. Cannot fault this place and would happily return a thousand times over. Mad if you don't visit 1802 if in Coffin Bay. Stoked!
I ordered lamb ribs, and OMG they were so tasty and soft I wanted to lick my plate, customer service was more than excellent, all wait staff were friendly, and the sunset over there is stunning
Expensive for what you get
Had the seafood plater - think twice
Sorry after the owner's reply - It was the seafood experience
The most amazing, warm and friendly customer service! We felt most welcomed, even if we didn’t book in advance, they kindly made space for us and gave us the best dinner experience in Coffin Bay. Gnocchi is to die for, perfection in all ways! ️
We had such a wonderful time, attentive staff - so great with our 3 young kids too. Really enjoyed the shared seafood experience coming out over 3 courses. And great spot, nice to be slightly out of the intense tourist hub. Loved it, can't wait to come back one day.
What a meal! Every dish was brilliant and the service was impeccable - we ended up having multiple serves of the skordalia because it was so incredible. Smoked fish on potato skin was also wonderful but every dish we tried was so well thought out and the effort and freshness was very evident.
Beautiful location, great service. The food is absolutely delicious! Also, the cocktails are pretty good. We got house special dirty mojito and it was spectacular!
Called in at 2.15 pm and they were happy to serve us. Food very nice selection of sea food. Restaurant prices. View across the road to water and oyster farm.
Such beautiful food. I'm not sure how to translate a happy dance so this will do - A+ service. If you are ever in Coffin Bay a visit to 1802 is a must!
Food was fantastic all thought I found the menu limited, only reason I visited off season and they pride on using local produce. The oysters were the best. Desert amazing.
If you are going to charge prices like this, it comes with a certain level of expectation and quality but sadly fell well short. Oysters were nice as one would expect although had shell fragments in them. We were a large group and all other meals were sadly not great when we asked others of their feedback. Nice concept but poorly executed.
Lovely up market restaurant in coffin bay with a good variety of menu items, friendly service and terrific views. If you want a good seafood feed when in town, this place is a well known one to come to and you should be happy when you leave.
My 12 Queenslanders and I were treated to the best offering of local cuisine in CB. Thanks 1802, Teague Tours will be returning! Cheers Jeff Teague Owner/Operator of Teague Tours
Delicious freshest oysters and delicious fresh caught local seafood. Staff were super friendly and efficient
Friendly attentive and obliging staff. Good view over the bay and lucky enough to have the local emus pass by. Drink list and prices surprisingly good. Food, although small tapa size was very tasty.
Best seafood and oysters we’ve had in Australia! The gazpacho oysters were delicious and the seafood platter has a lot of different things, all equally delicious and perfect for when you can’t make a decision on what to eat. The views from the deck and the cocktails are amazing as well. Cant recommend 1802 oyster bar enough!
