Wild fire sports as usual were spot on. Availability of items clearly shown on website and tracking showed items were on the way quickly. What lets them down is outside delivery contractors (have yet to see a barely adequate one). In this case it took over 3 weeks from Brisbane to Hobart (Cobb and Co would have done better). We received 3 messages over one week to say they were to be delivered that day only to see the tracking to be reversed to “in transit from Brisbane”. Eventually arrived 2 days before Xmas and left in the most obvious and open place at our house, despite instructions to leave in a safe place. Parcel saved by great neighbours! Who wants to start up a good delivery business there is a huge gap in the market here. Such a pity that the good retail businesses are let down by very poor delivery service.

Bought a pair of Black Diamond Trekking Poles and needed help with changing the tip. No one in the store knew how to do this and the person who may have been able to assist decided to take a break. I would not recommend the service at this store.

I have bought about four or five pairs of shoes from the online store, all arrived on time, no problem, but I bought a pair of trail running shoes for some trail runs in Europe and when the arrived I was a little concerned to see that the fastening system was a looped piece of string with a fastening toggle. I didn’t have time to make a complaint before the trip so I merely wore the shoes, taking extra care not to put unnecessary stress on the string. When the string broke before the final race, I happened to speak to representatives of the European branch of the whoe company who had a stand at the race HQ and they said they were aware of the design faults with that model of shoe and that I should speak to the vendor about a replacement or refund. I would have been happy with replacement for a different model, or store credit for the price paid, the shoes hadn’t lasted a full five months yet, but all they would offer me was a pair of shoe laces or fifteen dollars store credit for a new pair of shoes. Very poor customer service indeed. Soured my view of the entire company. Will take my business elsewhere from now on.

I live in the south of NZ and am always skeptical of buying overseas but the prices were the best out there and the postage was incredibly quick (and free as my order was over $80). Bought two pairs of shoes and they arrived a week after purchase.
Could not be happier! Highly recommend wildfire sports!

Purchased a pink replacement Garmin quick release strap in this cute baby pink-bubblegum pink colour. Received the item quickly and the pink was totally different colour…. Such a small item and I couldn't be bothered doing the run around with returning it- I also noticed the product was no longer available for purchase on the site. Bit disappointed but… the delivery was quick?

Huge thanks to Eric, who was of great assistance in my choice of hiking shoe/boots on Friday a couple of weeks back now.
Sporting a little injury, he's was able to guide me to a style that suited my feet and comfy right from the start.
Let's just see how many km's I'll hike in these.

I've bought quiet a few items from this company. The quality was impeccable but above all, what i really enjoyed and appreciated, was the professionalism and the high standards of customer care they had. It is very rare these days.
I will keep buying from them and recommend to friends and family!

I have ordered twice from them, purchases that totalled just under $700.00.

I don’t normally shop online for wearables, especially for an impending overseas trip.
And especially for something over a certain amount.

One of the items, a pricey lightweight rain jacket came in much smaller than expected. But another brand (Mac in a Sac) came in at a perfect fit. I could hardly blame Wildfire Sports for the mislabel of a product. Instead of returning it, I’ll just gift it to my daughter who is very petite.

Everything else came in neatly packaged and as described in their website.

Very pleased.

Every time I’ve come to this store, I’m ignored by staff who continue personal chatter even if I’m the only person who’s there. I don’t leave negative reviews as a general rule but this is consistently the worst customer service that I receive at an outdoor store in Brisbane - a sentiment echoed among several friends of mine.

Today I asked if a boot could be ordered in a wide fit, and the staff member just said “that entire brand is all wide fit” and walked away - which is patently untrue, as I understand the boot’s made in a different colour way when purchasing a wide fit model, which is why I asked if it could be ordered in. I’m actually pretty astonished at the good reviews this store gets because the service is just consistently bad and/or condescending. K2 and Wild Earth can have my money next time.

In 2019 I had a great experience with experienced staff that showed me a great level of assistance. Recently I visited Wildfire. I walked into the shop and was not greeted or asked if I needed help despite me looking around and trying to grab staffs attention for at least 10 minutes. I was walked past 5 times by different staff. I got the attention of one man finally after 10 minutes and asked for help. I asked if he could pack the bag down with weights and stuffing to see the fit. He said he couldn’t do that despite having that experience when I was there last time. I could see another bag on the counter which had weights in it. This has been a let me down as I have relied on Wildfire as a hiking shop where I could be assisted. Also disappointing when I was willing to spend a few hundred dollars and nobody wanted to assist me.

Dear Sales Team

I’ve always believed in supplier/retailer feedback, particularly when it’s ‘good’.

This afternoon (Monday 24/10/22, around 3: 50pm) I called your store to inquire about Scarpa Moraine Plus Mid GTX Men’s Shoes.

I spoke with a lady sales representative. She was extremely polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Not only steering me in the right direction but also advising other products you offer, in particular pressure socks.

I’m going on an overseas holiday in May next year. Suffice to say before I head overseas, I’ll be visiting WILDFIRE at 49 Douglas St, Milton, Brisbane, QLD 4064.

Successful and respected retailers only become the suppliers of choice when a customer is greeted and assisted by team members the likes of this lady. Very well done indeed.
