Me and my groomsmen had a wonderful time picking out my suit here. We were walked through the process of what fabrics to pick and what styles would suit me all while having a good laugh. I am very happy with my made to order suit I got from here! The pricing is reasonable as well.

My partner and I used Vanessa to make our suits for our wedding plus the wedding party outfits, 2 dresses and 2 suits. I cannot recommend Vanessa enough the suits looked absolutely amazing and everyone commented on how amazing the outfits were and how well they went together. Vanessa initially helped bring our ideas to life by recommending different colors and styles that go together as we're not the best at design etc. Absolutely amazing to deal with as well, always extremely friendly and welcoming.

Such personalised service and attention to detail, I wasn’t afraid to say what I liked/disliked so that Vanessa could put me in more dresses of different designs. I would not recommend WFML or Vanessa to any bride who is planning on buying a wedding dress!

I visited WFML and Vanessa in October 2020 to find a gown for my wedding and had no issues with Vanessa until I attended my first fitting 14 weeks out from my wedding day.

The skirt I had originally tried on had a smooth texture and was fitted down to the knee. When I tried on the skirt Vanessa had made, it had no shape, the fabric felt thinner, and it was a much brighter white than the sample. My initial thought was “oh no, it looks like I made it myself at home” – the darts were very obvious in the front and the skirt was not very flattering. I made several comments about how I felt the skirt looked different, Vanessa was extremely and consistently dismissive and did not bother to check the skirt to see if there were any problems. She repeatedly stated that the skirt was not fitted because her sample was too small on me. I was quite confused as to why Vanessa couldn’t differentiate between the shape and size of the skirt. Eventually, she pinned the skirt so that it was fitted down to my knee however, she continued to comment that the skirt is technically too small for me now. I still felt unsettled about the appearance of the skirt and so she brought the sample out and hung it next to my skirt, and then pulled the linings apart so I could feel the fabric. I didn’t feel confident in trying to tell the two apart and so I agreed she could go ahead with the alterations.

However, when I got home, I felt unsettled and decided to see another dressmaker to see if she could make the skirt.

I showed the new dressmaker a picture of the sample skirt and then a picture of another bride who was wearing a Demie skirt (on Instagram). The dressmaker commented that the shape was completely different as the bride with the Demie skirt was wearing an A-line skirt. She also reported that she had seen dressmakers swap a cheaper fabric into the actual skirt in order to save some money.

I sent Vanessa an email asking her to put a hold on any alterations because I wanted to consider having the dressmaker create a new skirt, however I was happy to take the top she had created. Vanessa responded saying that she had now noticed a layer or lining was missing from the skirt. I was very confused – how did Vanessa miss that when she was pulling the layers apart on the sample skirt? Why didn’t she at least check if there were any problems when I was so persistent that there was something different? After all – I had only worn the sample once and I knew there was a problem. I felt that I couldn’t trust Vanessa and respectfully requested that she not worry about the skirt, as I would be asking another dressmaker to create the skirt. Vanessa simply refused to acknowledge what I asked and persistently pushed me to take the new skirt – I have attached all of the emails so you can see for yourself how frustrating Vanessa is to work with!

In the end, the experience was so negative, upsetting, and frustrating, that I felt it would be better to find a whole new wedding gown. I strongly felt that Vanessa was not going to allow me to take the top on its own and I didn’t want to pay the top off in the end because I don’t agree with supporting business owners like this.

In the end, I found a whole new gown at Angelic Bridal 11 weeks out from my wedding. And although it wasn’t the dress I initially envisioned, it was a lot more pleasant to interact with the women at Angelic Bridal than it was to interact with Vanessa! Funnily enough, both women at Angelic Bridal were able to guess that I had been to WFML – turns out they have several upset brides who have to find a new gown after Vanessa’s mistakes.

I wouldn’t wish my experience on another bride and I have provided all of our email correspondence below so that you can decide whether or not this is a business you would like to use!

Vanessa and Laura always make us feel welcome. An experience I was very nervous about was surprisingly fun and comfortable. Laura is honestly the most gentle and lovely person. She's the reason we came back for our suit, even after going overboard with the dress. We can't wait to see the final products, though I'm sure they'll both be wonderful.

A great find! The staff were so welcoming, warm, helpful and fun! I was wanting to go back in as soon as I walked out. Their dresses are beautiful! They also have suits available for men. I had so much fun here! If you are looking for a wedding dress that suits YOU, GO TO WHEN FREDDIE MET LILY!

When I began the search for my Bridal Gown, I had an idea in mind, but after going to several bridal boutiques, nothing felt as comfortable or right as WFML did. Vanessa was just amazing. She put everything I had dreamed of into a custom made dress and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. When I first met Vanessa, I just knew I was in good hands. From the first meeting until the last fitting I knew I could trust Vanessa and the product provided. My dress could not have been more perfect! The service was personalised and absolutely amazing! I could not recommend WFML more.

WFML has such a relaxed atmosphere and I loved that they take the time to make your dress to measure. It is a much more personal experience. The girls were extremely down to earth and and helpful. It was actually the first dress I tried on and I thought "I love this so much" but I forced myself to try on some others because surely it couldn't be the first one! It definitely was and I came back to it and tried it on with a veil and was immediately crying! (happy tears!) Thanks Vanessa & Team!

Vanessa and her team are just amazing. I am so glad I chose to work with these ladies for my wedding gown. Vanessa is so kind and accommodating. All the dresses are handmade to your size and multiple fittings are provided for you to ensure your dress is perfect. When Freddie Met Lilly is located at an in-home studio that is beautifully set up overlooking a peaceful nature reserve. You feel very taken care of and the staff always remember who you are. I purchased the Diana Gown and had different lace added to it alongside a belt to make the dress what I wanted. I cannot recommend When Freddie Met Lilly enough.
