Gud venue had daughter wedding reception dinner in main bar there was her 2nd wedding we had ball we flew up from Melbourne to Townsville meals are good drinks well priced and nice people staff workers good laugh and I laugh so hard I had to go toilet many time I can’t hold bladder anymore I’m to old, walking frame friendly venue place. Better than casino. Aircon works great no complaint from me apart from my daughter unhappy I invite strangers I come friends with for mesl with us. They saved us from 5ft python on the strand night b4 could of died and not comr to wedding thank you rsl for your good time i coke back to far north QLD soon to eat here and musty with friendly staff

Friend daughter wedding hear the other week, can’t believe she get married in church but already divorced. Oh well how the other half live I guess. Nice place I got a stake very expensive I would think didn’t have to pay for it though thankfully. We invite some new friends we met in t ville, Sharon not very happy about it but that’s what you get for divorce lol beggars can’t be choosers

Went to the RSL today for lunch. Had to do a double take when we both ordered a Szechuan prawn for $27.00 each. When they ask what we wanted for main we told them the prawns. They informed us that it was only a entree. OMG. $27 for an entree So we switched to a steak sandwich. Also $27 and the special Roast pork. $52 for lunch. Ok. All good. Food was nice. But… I ordered 2 soda waters and was charged $11 for them. Mixers too, not even a bottle or can. So much for a reasonable meal. Never again. Very disappointing.

First time I've been there since it was flooded and was quite impressed. Nice airy feel to the place and staff are excellent.

From playing cards with friends, watching sport on the biggest screen, game of darts or just hanging in having a beer, this IS the venue.

Atmosphere was great. Food was scrumptious. Club premise was clean and tidy. Staff friendly. Enjoyed my night here very much.

It's vast, yet intimate. The menu simple, yet sophisticated. The food itself was delicious and perfectly portioned. The staff both friendly and accommodating.

Visiting Townsville for a couple of days and why here for lunch. Food was fresh and hot. We had a burger and gnocchi that was amazing. Quick service and friendly staff.

So I visited to have dinner with my family yesterday and quite disappointed. To start on a positive the meals were all a great size and the steak was cooked to perfectly as medium well. However, there was a server with their hair down and wearing open toe wedges walking in and out of the kitchen. This is a massive work place health and safety violation and simply a horrendous look for all the customers. The Caesar salad with chicken was sad. It was 90% lettuce with a small handful of bacon bits and toasted whole grain bread pieces rather than actual croutons. The chicken was also dry and minimal. We also found a hair in one of the butter chickens. Not a good experience at all and I do not plan on ever returning.

And cakes are half the size they used to be for the same price.

BY far not the place it used to be. Only care for pokie players others, ie social visitors and dancers they would prefer them not to be there

Nice flavoured steak, lovely salad & mushroom gravy, i ordered medium rare, got well done steak.wifes meal of baramundi was lovley. Meals are a little overpriced for the quality of the meal we got. 1st and last time we go to the RSL for a meal. Didn't take photo of meal, just ate the meal

My wife, son and I shared a dinner here. All our meals were fresh and tasty, arriving with minimal wait time. The RSL was clean and staff were more than happy to help.

When we got hooked on to the new menu last year it was superb. However, the past few months the better, healthier and definitely more expensive main courses have taken a turn for the worse. Unfortunately, we won't be returning any time soon.

Staff service was great. Was at private function.
Food ok. Better than my last visit 18months ago.

Quite expensive for the size and quality of the food. We found paper in the lamb's fry, and the lasagne was disgusting

As you have a band on all lights are left on meaning no rythym to get 1any feeling with the band you may as well say your at a nursing home

I always highly recommend the RSL. The staff are fabulous and service excellent. I have always enjoyed the food. There is always something on that caters to everyone

Lovely venue. Food great. Appears lots of new staff. Our dinner order was lost. Waited 45 mins. Manageress was lovely and sorted quickly.
