The Barracks Shopping Centre reviews
66 Just terrible parking situation - all the 2 hour spots taken by all day parkers
I'm never coming back until this improves.
Parking is expensive. First two hours free but had to pay $12 for 2 hours and 15 mins.
Not a good experience
The cafe we visited had run out of the breakfast we wanted. The lady explained that they were closing in two days time for the Christmas period so a lot of the stocks had been run down. The service was super friendly and what we did eat was pretty good, although a little over priced.
New built shopping centre with bit of everything. Lots of restaurants in the shopping centre and surround but still missing quick grab meal. Specially on lunch. Clean facilities and 2 hrs free Parking for shopping customer.
This is a short walk from West End over the William Jolly Bridge. We head to Tiger Eye for work meetings (cheap lunch and free parking) or head to the movies at the Palace Barracks. Can't lose.
Directly opposite Caxton Street. Filled with an eclectic mix of specialist shops, bars and even a supermarket.
Could do with a bit more going on, maybe a good busker or similar, something for a bit more atmosphere
Appalling parking Two weeks in a row went to movies for movie festival - spent 8 minutes at boom gate with 59 cars behind me and staff wouldn’t assist. Second time spent 30 **** minutes to even get to boom gate. Sorry. Palace. Love your movies but hate the parking situation. We’ll be going elsewhere
Tiger Eye was such a great bar with the friendliest staff! One of the girls working there seemed new and was so kind to all patrons. Excellent service!
The barracks is lovely, but the parking machine didn’t read any cards when we were there. It took us about 30 minutes to sort it out then pay. We have now been sitting in stopped traffic trying to exit the parking garage for about 15 minutes. Still on level B3… don’t ever try bring a car here!
Barracks is one of my favourite cinemas in Brisbane. Great selection of movies and a regular supporter of most International Film festivals. Very comfortable seating, a well stock, ed bar and cafe and comfortable foyer area for socializing before and after movies.
Went to watch movie at this cinema. It look aged empty and felt like it was closing down. Won't recommend it. Its cost us 79 for one adult and two kids the day went to south bank and it cost us 19 for 3 people.
Park here for Riverview and avoid the $275.00 parking fine all because the Council changed the rules and hid the warning signposts so they could sneak some more revinue.
Nice shopping centre has cinema, lots of specialty stores, food outlets, chocolate shop, plenty of parking. When your attending either Caxton Street, or Suncorp Stadium, you can either just drive up and pay. Alternatively, you can book online and pay $51, drive up put the code in and enter, very easy, then upon your return enter the code again and do I've through the barrier. We attended the double header, unfortunately, both Broncos and Storm both lost.
Top little trendy shopping centre with parking below.
Built on the old army barracks from a century ago. Great complex with a selection of eateries plus a great cinema complex, supermarket and fashionable treasures.
Not the cheapest place in town but fun open and clean.
Try the sushi train.
Simply some of the best sushi in Brisbane delectable selections with authentic Japanese sauces and spices that make your tongue tingle with delight. Very modestly priced also at just $4.20 a plate with generous serves
Great little innercity shopping centre. Has the basics as well as Coles, cinema and few options with cafes. It's a pretty chilled space. Easy parking underneath.
It's great but drunk ppl can be lurking about and the traffic is a bit chaotic. Still libertine is amazing and worth the visit ️
Nice suburban cafe
Coffee is their thing.
Great atmosphere and presentation, The food is good quality but the dishes are over complicated with no simple options.it is a shame about the service.looked like everyone's first day in hospitality.
Impossible to get eye contact to ask even for a menu.
No too much for to do here, just a couple restaurants, pharmacy and coles, probably convenient to who live around, to get groceries and have some food out of the house, otherwise it doesn’t deserve the drive if you are far from there.
It's a nice centre. But when, oh when, will they give up on the parking cards? The cards have the licence plate details printed on them, so they do have licence plate scanning technology. Customers will appreciate you doing what absolutely every other shopping centre does.
