Stratco

Stratco has some very innovative and fantastic looking products. The in-store staff are very helpful and easy to deal with, though as per usual, they are sorely let down by a corporate structure that focuses on profit, and absolutely nothing else.

The salesperson at Stratco Virginia appeared to know about the products, and helped me select same.

Will never shop there again. Cut to size roofing and carport were wrong, wrong!

1. Our builder ordered UV see through patio roof sheeting cut to size ordered by tradesman. The sheeting arrived and was picked up. Upon opening at our job, tradie saw it was the wrong type. He returned the incorrect sheeting, reordered and 2 days later picked up his order again. Before he put it up he noticed it was the wrong size. Fed up with wasting enough of his time going back to the store twice he had to cut sheeting to length required, due to your stores stuff up.

2. Builder ordered carport materials cut to size of drawing provided. The men positioned all posts in place and guess what? The roof poles were shorter than ordered so the builder phoned Stratco and complained vividly. What a waste of time Statco? Shame of your inefficient staff who obviously can't count!

3. I forgot abouut our first delivery of colourbond fencing panels and posts plus bags of concrete before Christmas. Driver of delivery truck didn't drop off concrete that was on his load. We asked if it was ours and he assured us it wasn't. Later that day he returned with the same concrete. Hopeless despatch staff don't seem to communicate with warehouse. Stratco 3 strikes.you're OUT! We've had enough of incompetence.

Website much more helpful. Went to store hoping to see more things on display but that was a waste of time. Will shop online.

Look at the other reviews they tell the story. Saw a product in their catalogue and went in store to purchase. Staff were adament that they don't sell the product. No apology when we showed her the product was in deed in the catalogue and turns out they don't stock it 'apparently'.

Good parking, staff were very helpful. Even though they did not have what I wanted the did suggest a couple of other places we could try.

Great little store. Did me a great deal on a new shed. Very happy with it so I like to pop in now and again and by a few tools or bits n pieces and support their business. More personal experience than the "other" bigger stores so suits me fine. Give em a go

Go see matt whelan he is a legend, it's good to get service in retail which he delivers on time and on site like the materials you order

Car park was pretty full but that was probably due to the Xmas shack being across the road, easy to locate the poweboards I was looking for, price on shelf dearer than website but scanned at website price which may stop people buying them if they haven't checked online. Staff friendly and service quick and easy to locate stock in store as aisles well marked.

They seem to have everything and great personal service. Much cheaper than their big name competitor opening across the road.

Stratco's delivery driver Gordon has delivered materials on site for me several times now. He always has taken care with the handling of the goods and places them in an appropriate spot out of the way, He has a really great work ethic.

Got some material delivered for a job, came on time and the delivery driver gave me a courtesy call he did exactly what I asked. Top bloke

Excellent service from Cory, the multi-store manager. He's knowledgeable about every product we're interested in. The quote for a big carport for a caravan is very reasonable.

Good alternative to Bunnings. Not quite the huge range but still cover most of your needs. Can also be competitive with price.

Very poor service mansger refused to go outside to fill gas bottle for my caravan told to come back tomorrow when some staff were working

Really good, Nga was very helpful & knew what she was talking about. We ordered our fence& I'm looking forward to getting it in. Would be good if the delivery driver bothered to read the address/ street signs& deliver it to the right house. Nga followed up& got it sorted for us, & we have it back. But it wasn't a confusing site/address & she had it down correctly, so driver needs to try harder.

Very poor customer service. If you have problems with one of their products don't expect any help from them!

Quite a useful hardware store with tools and timber, also the place to buy sheds, roofing, guttering, etc. Sells anything made by Colorbond.

After 15 minutes on the computer because the product code had been changed and nobody was sure if what I wanted still existed. It wasn't until the customer service person took a 2 minute walk out the back and said "Yes, we have two of them".

George, the store manager, was extremely helpful when I experienced a lot of difficulty purchasing an outdoor table using the online description as my guide, but it was not accurate. Thanks to George I now have the table I wanted and its much better than I had hoped it would be. Thanks to George and all the very helpful staff at Virginia.
