Very good gym if your a beginner like myself you will find that strand fitness is a perfect gym for you they can help with everything that you may need help with 10/10 gym for sure

Visiting from the US and wanted to get a day pass. Didn’t disappoint. Staff was so nice, equipment clean and everything you need. Great place for beginners and or body builders. Great great gym!

We have been at Strand fitness for 18 months now and the facilities are amazing and I love the Pilates classes on Monday’s and Thursdays ️ Shout out to the amazing staff!

As someone who has had a few different gym memberships now I can say strand fitness is the most painful to cancel. As far as the gym itself is I would give it 4/5 for machines/change rooms etc and didn't have any problems for the 11months I went. When I went in to cancel my gym membership before moving back to Melbourne and was told I could not cancel until my 12month minimum term was up. No worries, I asked if I could have it cancelled for when the term was up and told I would have to come back when the term had finished. After waiting and paying the membership while living in Victoria I rang to cancel and was told coming in and asking to cancel my Membership was not "notice" and that I would still have to give a months notice. If my job takes me back to Townsville I will be sure to avoid strand fitness in favor of a gym that values customer experience over getting every $$ out of you. I am now hoping to have my membership canceled 4 months after my last visit when I said I was moving interstate and would like to cancel.

Gym is good don't get me wrong, just be wary that if you lose or want a replacement for a tag that they are over priced and some of the staff have an attitude problem when you mention it

The staff are super friendly as well as the owner is easy to talk to with constant support and amazing energy in all precincts.

Didnt like the staff. Could improve heaps, you need to up your game nowadays with soo many gyms to choose from

Been here since Strand Fitness North Shore first opened. I've simply not experienced a better atmosphere, coupled with the equipment, space, other gym members and the lovely staff. You simply cannot go wrong!

Strand Fitness CBD is a home away from home for all your health and well-being needs, great location and excellent support.

I have been to a few other gyms locally and by far this gym has the most equipment and amenities. Fantastic yoga and massage chair room. Love it here!

The Strand Fitness Team has been so wonderful in the whole process of getting signed up and recommending group fitness classes and Personal Trainers that can help me through my fitness journey and the Facility is gorgeous.

A good gym, the space immaculate and all the equipment you would want in a gym. Recently have noticed the high staff turnover and the ones left never look happy to be at work. Becoming less enjoyable to train here.

Excellent gym. Really good selection/quality of equipment, and probably the most stand out factor, the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. They hooked me up with an amazing deal. Paired with strand fitness North Shore, they would have to be offering the best facilities available in Townsville. Definitely worth a visit!

The gym is sub par, the cardio machines are supposedly new yet all incorrectly calibrated with speed, incline and distance. There is little air conditioning which also can make training a little uncomfortable. The reason i’ve Given such a low star is purely employee based. I needed to suspend my account and called up, the girl was very nice and said no worries we’ll sort that out for you and forgot to mention they have a policy that I have to put it in writing. Well a month later i’m Charged and I call up trying to figure why and the lady on phone was very rude. I understand you have a policy and I also understand you know your employees but I expect a little respect and not to be treated like I talk bull. I wasn’t trying to get out of the payment I was simply letting her know that the policy wasn’t communicated to me. Her manners have left a very bad taste in my mouth as her defensiveness tells me this happens more often then not and she’s covering her arse.
