Went into platypus today to get my son his first pair of doc martens and we had the pleasure of being served by V, who not only knew his stuff but made our purchase a memorable one. He made us feel so comfortable, we weren't rushed or pressured into buying something we didnt want even though it was really busy in there today. Thank you so much V for your knowledge of this product, for the fantastic service we received, for taking the time to assure me that purchasing these shoes was worth it and sharing your awesome kiwiness with us. Be assured if your thinking of buying a pair of doc martens V is your man to see. Will definitely go back there again.

Awesome range with really helpful staff! V helped me pick out my new timberlands and was really patient with me trying to figure out my sizing.
I ended up coming back to swap out the sizing again and they didn't have the size I needed in store so they set up delivery direct to my house to save another trip

I was served by Vinay and he was awesome! He not only found another pair of shoes in the same style but different colour when the size I needed wasn't available in the original pair I'd selected, but also came back with some alternative styles just in case they would better suit what I was after. He was patient, friendly & helpful the whole time (and they were super busy too) & I can honestly say that I will return to this store because of his service rather than go anywhere else. Went here today looking for new shoes, the store was completely empty apart from 2 staff whom didnt even acknowledge us or offer assistance. Not to mention the store is organised horribly, there is no form of organisation everything is bunched together there is no seperation of men's, women's or children's. It really needs to be reorganised so that it is easier to look for shoes that will suit the customers needs.

Great customer service from the guys on today (14/10). Super helpful, knowledgeable and even kept the store open almost an hour after closing to let me keep shopping. An absolute pleasure shopping here, thanks for an awesome experience.

The store person never left us alone and we felt pressured to buy the specific items he suggested and then showed rudeness when we couldn't decide, because of his lack of customer service we have decided not to go back.

I bought 'new' adidas shoes from this store. Wen I went home I found out that the shoes were broken and checked futher if it was usable. When I came back to the store the lady appoligised to me and offered me to exchange the shoes but she couldn't find another pair. I also saw some mud on the shoes which made me realise that she was trying to sell me a used pair. Very dissappointed

I have visited this store location a few times and find the service pleasant normally but I was really shocked at the way one of the female staff was dressed the last time i visited. She was wearing a denim mini skirt that was so short and tight that the slightest movement meant me and my daughter could see everything. I just find this attire really inappropriate for a store where the staff are moving quite a bit and completely unprofessional for a person in her position (another staff member mentioned she was a 2nd in charge). I also was not a fan of the slight condescending tone I was spoken to with and the insistence that I buy a waterproof spray for a black leather shoe (which clearly did not need a waterproofer). The in-genuine up-selling and email marketing scam has just gotten to be too much.

Great range of shoes and awesome customer service. I had the poor sales person bring out four boxes of shoes because I'm so indecisive, but he was still enthusiastic to help. Great store, I would highly recommend it if you're in the market for some new shoes.

Terrible customer service. The kids in the store are not even listening. You can see on their face, just noding. Quite surprised how they get away with such behavior.

Kinda pushy staff with little to no knowledge of the products they sell. Overall not a terrible experience but definitely could improve.

Had a great time shopping in garden city the other day at Platypus. The staff have so much great energy in greeting us when we entered the shop. The music and atmosphere in the store is pumping, good and energetic. Thank you to the staff that helped me out with finding sizes, now I have a new pair of Doc Martens I love! Will definitely be shopping for another pair soon!

I love shopping at Platypus Garden City! Everytime I enter the store the vibe hits me instantly! Yesterday i was greeted kindly and never were the employees overbearing. I greatly appreciated the wealth of knowledge I was provided me with as it was the icing on the cake to my shopping experience. The staff are awesome. The music is awesome.the products are awesome which is why I keep on coming back for MORE! Thank you Platypus Garden City
