57I recently visited the Kedron store looking to buy a TV that I saw online. I asked a staff member some questions about the TV and how long the warranty is for. They answered and said ‘that’s how it is in Australia’ with a bit of an attitude. This comment made me very uncomfortable and I left the store immediately and did not purchase a TV. Prior to receiving ‘assistance’ from this staff member I saw they made a comment towards an elderly man who clearly had a walking impairment that the store closes soon and they should move faster. However it was 430pm and store closes at 6pm. It’s so ridiculous that 4.30pm to 6pm from him sounds like only 1 minute away. I won’t be returning to the Kedron store and am very disappointed as I hoped to not encounter this kind of discrimination from a staff member when looking to make a large purchase in their store. I unfortunately did not get their name but if I did I would have put in a formal complaint about them specifically. I remember his face tho, please contact me if the manager wanna know who is he. Feel sorry for other customers who received “service” from him. Literally ruined our day.
“Security” refused entry for not wearing a mask, when I had a lawful reason not to. He refused to even hear what the reason was. CHO directives (or misinterpretation of said directives) is no excuse for poor customer service.
Guess where I won’t be shopping again…
Multiple occasions at this store (including the latest being today) the customer service is exceptionally poor. Rarely have we found someone who has any skills in customer interactions, and usually find them to be rude, unhelpful and left feeling like you have inconvenienced them by trying to buy from them. We now go out of our way to go to other stores that are further away, due to the poor service at Kedron. Happy to discuss further with Management if they would like further details and hopefully look to improve - noticed we aren't the only ones who have left similar reviews.
Called for some info on phone cases today and it felt like I had to pull teeth to get anything.then I get hung up on when the representative felt like she was done.horrid customer service
Lady at the checkouts tonight was unintelligent and condescending from the get go. She was useless when it came to my issues. I went straight to Chermside Jbhifi and they were able to help me out, without the bad attitude. The previous reviews of this place were before the very helpful team were replaced with these people. Big downgrade.
John B is a misogynist. Made a completely irrelevant comment to my boyfriend (whilst I was standing right beside them both) about “women coming in to buy a top loading washing machine wearing their Lorna Jane and complaining about having to bend down to use it and I’m like ‘aren’t you paying a guy $10000 a year to tell you to bend down? ! ’ get into it girl! ”
We were there shopping for a blender, not a washing machine. I have no idea why he threw that gross comment into the conversation.
Purchased a digital download online - supposed to receive with 3 hours Max. A day later still no product despite paying for it. Contacted help and support whose response time is 3 or 4 working days. What a joke.
I feel some of the staffs here really do their best not being helpful.
Just go to the Chermside store you will have a better shopping experience.
Very unfriendly and dint even get serviced when asked for help. Young lady worked there she just said can't you find DVDs they are over there if we got it?
Even the male at the counter had nothing to do then search for.something on the computer told be there in 2 minutes waited over 10 minutes gave up.
I'm a big client of jib hifi in oxly spent lot of money true the years and sent friends and family.
About $30.000 k in 10 years
That what I got being loyal to jib hi fi Kenton and the staff said go to chermiside jib hi fi told no don't like major shopping centres.asked if could order a DVD I could pick it up.they just told better go to another store?

Went into the store to replace a broken Tv with a voucher from my insurance company, I chose the tv I wanted and got a good deal from the salesman, then when he went to run it by his manager the manager came to me and said because I was using a voucher from my insurance (which I was making up the difference) l couldn’t get the discounted price!
So after much discussion it was to much so I went with a lesser tv to which he allowed a discount?
The salesman was nice and apologetic but the manager wasn’t very accommodating to say the least.
After this experience I won’t be spending my dollars in that store again.
Staff don't bother to serve customers. Had to run round looking for a staff member after being in the store at least 20mins looking for an item. This was on a Monday not even a weekend and hardly any other customers! Noticed other people waiting ages for help too! Then a week or so later the charger no longer works so will be returning it for a refund but probably at another JB HiFi store.
Asked about the features of a smartwatch and was told that I should research it online. So that's what I did and purchased online too. Not from JB though. This is why Australian retail is headed towards a recession.
Horrible customer experience. Went there on a Saturday afternoon to purchase a TV from the catalogue on sale. The sales people on the floor were so busy, lits of customers waiting. The sales person assisted me whilst he was serving another customer and advised none in stock, and neither would he sell the tv if it was in stock because they were poor quality and so many had been returned.
I proceeded to leave empty handed and saw that no-one was lined up at the front counter, so I thought I would ask if there were any other stores nearby with stock on hand. The front counter staff advised I will have to speak to the sales person on the floor and that he was unable to help.surely you're all on the same computer system and can see stock levels at other stores?
Left disappointed and called chermside, who were extremely helpful and had one on display which I could come to see. Chermside was extremely helpful.
Ordered a pair of headphones and had to call twice for them to tell me that it will come soon but after almost 5 weeks of not hearing from them I went to their shop and they actually had my headphones ready but they never called me to let me know Nightmare experience bad customer service never want to deal with them again
Service from Nick was so long. I wanted to buy a laptop and he just was no help. So i left and bought a laptop from officeworks

Would rather go someplace else then have to deal with the old security guard. If I want to be treated like that I'd go to a night club or prison.
Nice shop but the staff had no idea about what I was looking for. I went in to buy a pair of Pixel Buds A series and the tech guy said he hadn't seen them for over a year.
When I told him that they had just been released and were advertised on their website, he pointed to a pair I've wired pair of headphones that comes standard with a pixel phone.
So I drove to the nearest Officeworks and they ordered a pair from their warehouse.
Sorry JB, you missed this sale. I guess you don't really need it given your sales success over the past 18 months.
You always have to hunt for staff to help you and sometimes the staff don't even know where things are
Went to report my sound system fault, at 9am, they supose to call me back but never, 22 midday still waiting
