Hobbyrama reviews
60Unfortunately no Afterpay or Zip. Told by staff with a tone they don't need it and to use my credit card. Sorry for even asking. All good, will buy the product ($1400) on Ebay.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I ordered model kits online. Easy enough.you would think.
After speaking with the manager, Mark, as the stores ‘email us’ form failed for the SIXTH time, I gladly kissed my extra $15 away rather than deal with the shops no refund policy. NOT fair enough. After almost quarreling for seven minutes on the phone, I decided to write the $15 off as just a bad experience and move on.
Don’t order from them in case you get screwed over like I was.
Terrible customer service, rude on the phone and in person, only after your money! Brought a Rc car in and all they did was tell me that I needed to buy their stuff for it to work properly, took it too another shop and they said there was nothing wrong with it just needed a tune. Disappointed I once thought this was the place to go, Obviously not, will not be back.
Theres a good range of products, some well known modelling brands are missing. I was disappointed to find some of the staff were quite pushy and rude, i understand time is valuable but I felt as though i couldn't ask for help, unfortunately as a first time customer it wasn't a great impression, keen to try out the other hobby stores in the area.
Pretty good range of stuff even though i have no idea what half of it is.only problem is that the staff seem like they are always in a bad mood
Good range. Staff are hit and miss. Much cheaper to buy online, but okay if you can't wait for postage.
The best hobby / model shop in Brisbane, excellent friendly staff that know the customer by name when I come in.
Knowledgeable staff. An improving 1: 18 die cast car section (basic and high qual). Great model builder / mod supplies.
Probably the best store of it's type in Brisbane.
Very nice! I love going there! A good range of kits and friendly staff! I would recommend it to all people!
100% super service here. Always go here for new or problems with my old RC cars. They always find a solution for free or otherwise very decent prices. Best hobby store!
Big Selection, not a nice service experience. Having recently gotten into RC cars my knowledge is not great. I ha e visited the store 3 times and each time the staff always talk down to me like I'm stupid and are irritated. They never actually help and are rude in a arrogant manner. Its like Im bothering them. So i decided to spend my $400 on a rustler at another shop. I have stopped going there now.shame as its a great store.
Only visited Hobbyrama twice since 2017 (it's over a two hour drive for me to get there) however, both times I have been very pleased with their service and the range of plastic model kits that they have, always come away with the kits I wanted.
Expensive and a hassle to get to. Good selection though. Good for remote control cars and planes and trains. No good for die cast
I experienced some issues with a warranty claim on the weekend. I contacted the shop however the staff were unable to help me at the time.
Steve made the effort to find my number and contact me a few days later. He went to great lengths to sort out my problem.
Stopping in this afternoon to collect my replacement.
Thanks Steve. Top Service.
Good selection of hobby supplies for a wide range hobbys, trains, RC cars, modle kits and planes. They all so have a good selection of paints and terrain making supplies suitable for wargaming. They don't sell any wargames but have stuff suitable for other aspects of the hobby.
Hobbyrama has been around for a very long time and it's easy to see why; they have goodies for all ages and interests and everything is well laid out and presented. The staff are always polite and helpful.
Nicely organised shop for model hobby lovers, great collection of model cars, planes and rc.friendly service staffs
For the kid inside all of us. Something for everyone. Helpful and passionate (knowledgeable) staff. No pressure selling here, just good advice at competitive prices. They have a lot of specialized stuff to suit any level of dedication and budget. Great just to walk around and dream.
Arguably the most well stocked hobby store in Brisbane. Massive range for modelling and RC. Experienced staff, friendly service and reasonable prices.
I come in here a few times a year to look to see what is happening in the modelling world. Check out the paints, models and other modelling products. Lots of things to look at on the shelves. Nice local store to me.
