For the first time I had quick and attentive service without having to hunt for a staff member.

Usually Harvey Normans is my go to, but this store is by far the worst i have ever experienced. The customer service i receieved was sub par. I called earlier to ensure that the product i wanted to test was on the floor and charged -i was assured it was. I drove 30mins to the store with babies and and on arrival was told - no actually NONE of the machines except for the dysons were charged. The sales lady said " yes well that happens". I explained that i drove in with kids after assurances that i could test before i buy and i got no apology. I asked to speak to manager who just ignored me. Did not come speak to me at all. I left very angry with crying kids.

Always such a long wait to get the attention of staff even though I knew what I wanted before I walked through the door, some even stand around even after making eye contact. Price was good but insisted about 4 times for me to get a warranty and wouldn't take no for an answer which really annoys me and puts me off buying any items from retailers and makes me want to buy online instead. I wouldn't recommend Harvey Norman to anyone and would instead recommend the good guys or JB HiFi who seem to have much friendlier staff.

I bought a laptop from Andrew in the tech department. He was nice but very deceptive about the pricing structure of the laptop and extras that I was buying. He told me completely different prices for each component of the bundle than I actually paid for it. Overall the laptop was still decent value but it is very unprofessional to lie about the pricing for each component. I will not be coming back

Do not use their delivery company.
1.delivery guys did not initially own up to damaging our front entrance and scratching our new fridge door when they forced the fridge through our front door.
2.i had to follow up with the delivery company's handyman about 3 times to get repairs done to front door.
3.6 months on and I am still waiting for a replacement fridge door.

I was left to chase handyman for repairs and I am left to chase fridge company for new door.no follow up from harvey norman or delivery company to ensure damages were fixed and fridge door replaced.it now appears it will be end of April that i will have a scratch free fridge door for a fridge that was delivered in early september.

Great customer service!

Do not go here. Was forced into buying a laptop I did not want after being assured it was 'better' than the one I did want (the one i wanted was out of stock). Multiple windows errors and blue screens later I returned the laptop (1 day after purchase) to replace it with a working computer. Was told I have to pay a restocking fee of %20 of the purchase price OR wait and let them fix the BRAND NEW COMPUTER. After arguing with sales staff about this I told them to send my details to another Harvey Norman store as this one was absurd and was trying to get me to pay for something that was there fault. The other store (Everton park), took the faulty computer and replaced it within 10 minutes with no fee and said "I have no idea why the Fortitude Valley store would charge a restocking fee on a faulty laptop".

The best Harvey Norman store in Brisbane. Wide variety of household goods at decent prices. Most products are fitted with a long warranty, making shopping here risk free. Staff are friendly and willing to bend over backwards for you. Very helpful and usually know what they are talking about. Located in Fortitude Valley opposite the new Tesla Centre, this Harvey Norman is quite easy to get to. Heaps of parking with first 3 hours free. Better to come on a weekday in the evening, as you will get served quicker. Stress free household shopping done right.

The Fortitude valley store has the worst customer experience ever. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted and ready to but managed to get directed to 4 different people then left at the cashier long enough to decide to and write a review about the fact I still haven't been served. Would have been faster to go with Amazon and have it shipped from the US.
