Update: I must change an earlier review and what started out as what I thought was poor communication and misleading information, turned out to be an organisation willing to bend over backwards to accommodate my very unique and challenging demands within the scope they offer. Incredible management of the situation, open, honest, understanding and cleared our contract when we couldn't meet an outcome to continue training.all the best, namaste

Gracie Barra Burleigh Heads is the best Jiu Jitsu school I have been to, I've tried a few others but this one truly feels like home. The professor and his wife are exceptional at what they do and are continously looking to improve the school.
In regards to the inner workings; the timetable is efficient and has plenty of opportunities to train, the facilities are maintained at such a high standard and of course the professor's and coaches teach Jiu Jitsu thoroughly, effectively and safely.
I wouldn't dream of being anywhere else for my Jiu Jitsu journey and am so proud to be a part of something so great.

Warning!
I have called 3 times to cancel and to ask them to stop accessing my bank account but they never return my call to discuss and just keep taking money out!
Not one phone call even after I have stated that I will contact consumer affairs they just keep taking almost $100 out of my account on a regular basis.
I now have no option but to pursue this through legal channels.
Be aware of what you are signing with these people they take your money for no services and do not feel bad about taking money from people for nothing!

I have now been training at GB Burleigh Heads for several months. When first looking for a place to train I was impressed by the cleanliness of the gym and open reception of the team.

Within a week, it felt as though I had a dozen new friends, and a caring, compassionate and challenging instruction which made getting fit fun and enjoyable.

Now, several months later, I can honestly say GBBH’s has positively changed my quality of life. I have a great network of friendly training partners, who challenge and inspire me, and provide an atmosphere of trust and safety in which to learn this amazing art.

Everyone feels a sense of anticipation taking a first step in an unfamiliar gym or hobby, but be assured the team at GBBH’s will make you feel at home and welcomed. Learn effective self defence and the lifestyle that accompanies world class instruction at world class facilities. You owe it to yourself to give it a try - you won’t be disappointed!

It has been a month I decided to do a trial at GB burleigh and it was one of the best decisions Ive ever made. They make me feel like im at home and they also care about me as an individual. The training is very specific and easy to learn. Being part of the GB burleigh family is amazing!

Pro's:
- Friendly and Supportive
- Range of classes for all levels

Con's:
- Website was a bit misleading - There is no specific women's program.
- Having to pay for 60 days of membership after cancellation was not clearly stated when joining.

Beware, even when they close their training center during holidays season they still going to charge you for classes unattended or missing. If u want to freeze your account you need to give them notices 2 weeks ahead and for kids class to cancel, one month ahead. These will not be forewarned prior signing and you might want to take a good careful reading of their contract before signing as there are lots rabbit holes for you to jump in. It’s true they are a business and they just want your money with their unfair terms and conditions.

GB Burleigh Heads is a great place to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! Whether you want to train for recreation, or train to compete, Professor Pedro and his team have a program for you!

Amazing school, the owners Daisy and Pedro welcome everyone and make you feel like family.

The quality training here is excellent and the members are all so helpful and friendly.
