Goodlife Health Clubs 24/7 reviews
50 I hated it, but you might like the poor service and old equipment. I went to this gym back in 2020 and re-joined in 2023 - amazingly everything is still the same even the smells.
If anyone wants, I've got a $18 per week subscription that I can swap over.
I’ll keep coming, so long as they keep the weekly boxing class! I encourage everyone to come and try it out… best work out in 30 minutes!
Goodlife’s motto is ‘good for life’. They fit out a gym and then never go back to upgrade or refurbish the place for an entire lifetime.
They’ve recently removed the NFC card reader from the front door so you can’t use your phone any more to access the gym and have to carry a physical card… the place is going backwards!
Old equipment. I dud not know how to use an equipment and instead of helping me the gym staff just laughed on my face.
Big gym but some equipment is not functioning (leg press) and old. Other ready to brake down (leg extension). Just one weighted rowing machine for this big gym?
The gym is all good, I like the functional area, but the toilets are so gross. They have had a sign up about the smell and a plumber for like 2 months. Soup dispenser doesn't work so no soap to wash your hands and they are so dirty. These dirty paper towels on the floor were there Tuesday and still there Friday when I came back. I don't know if they clean the place. I do t even use the toilets, public toilets are cleaner.
A good amount of the treadmills don't work which is disappointing. The weights room equipment is old but does the job. This area feels very cramped. The ladies lockers don't always work and the toilet always seems to be waiting on plumbing. Great location for those who want a convenient gym after work.
Got a week pass here when I was visiting Brisbane, absolutely loved it. Its not the newest/cleanest etc, but still has a really good range of equipment, and all the staff were friendly
Predatory marketing. I've never had a membership with them, but they've called me 7 times about offers even though I've told them to stop 3 times. Now I've blocked them.
Fantastic spin class. Small class and wonderful instructor. Well ventilated. Quality equipment. Hairdryers and straighteners in locker rooms. Clean and tidy.
Its old and tired, but functional. Generally machines are looked after and not really any out of order issues. Their classes seem popular and well attended. My main gripe is with the PT's - I am super happy they have clients coming through but sometimes they pull the piss - really for a small gym where there is next to no duplication of equipment, the trainers should stick to one station per section. Supersetting 2 or 3 stations by leaving a towel here, water bottle there, notepad elsewhere is a joke. Its frustrating when they do this on a 15 minute cycle. Further, if you're a trainer make sure your person brings a towel and uses it for more than "holding" a machine.
Go to wintergarden if you can and the Goodlife there is open. This gym is cramped and stairs are so steep they are a bit of a hazard! Avoid if you are thinking of working out legs.
I really enjoy this gym as the staff and trainers are a great bunch of people, always ready for a chat & a laugh, and then always ready to get attentive to your own particular fitness goals. In addition, the location is so convenient with 24 hour access, super clean changing facilities and good A/C
If I could offer an improvement suggestion it would be to upgrade some of the equipment, finances permitting, and then the gym would be first class.
Thanks again to the Edward Street Team, you guys rock!
The whole place is a little bit old, I went there with a casual day pass and one out of the two days I was there was no hot shower =_=
Love that they have good blow dryer and GHD.
When you go up to the second floor there is this very old and dusty looking big silver thing (maybe it’s an old aircon? Old heater? !) that is such an eyesore
Great location however space is small and the equipment and machine are quite old. Quite frustrating that their machines are in a numerical format & doesn't display the weight itself so it's difficult to keep track of how much you're actually lifting. Overall the staff are nice and they have a good number of classes running
Really cool 24/7 gym for those who aren't a fan of the new tech savvy equipment, it's down to the basics, and that's all it needs to be
Amazing gym and facilities in the middle of the city's financial district. Personal Trainers have wide ranging knowledge of exercise routines specific to your training goals.
Extremely disappointing experience in regards to customer service, lack of accountability from management and quite dismissive in their communications. Left feeling in disgust & disagreeance with decisions made and their contempt with prior staff members shady & borderline illegal actions. Tried to come to a solution and unfortunately was brushed off.
Pro's - well air con'd gym, the patrons are awesome & super helpful. The night period can be nice and cruisy which is great for a quieter training session. Some of the staff were genuinely enthusiastic though I feel current staff or the one's I was left to deal with didn't feel the same way about a positive customer experience.
Unfortunate circumstances to move away temporarily and not feel the need to join back up upon return.
Sufficient equipment and machines. The wipes run out easily and sometimes it doesn’t smell good indoors tho. Other than that, the subscription price is reasonable and the exercise room is spacious.
Extremely clean gym and amazing placement. My only complain is the conditions of some machines. The wires of some pulling machines are rusted and could pose a saftey risk.
