Good food, decent prices and the general store is stocked with important provisions. Prices are ok too - just remember it is on an island!

It's a little tricky to find a good short cut to get to it from the beach though, so check out your maps before you go. No Optus coverage and Telstra can be a bit sketchy.

Friendly staff with most of the essentials you might run out of while on Moreton Island. Freshly made coffee, food, beer, bug spray and firewood.what else do you need?

After just completing a 3 day walking trip around Moreton Island with 2 mates, we were more than happy with everything (including the super friendly staff) at Castaways Cafe. Great meals, general supplies and alcohol all priced well especially considering the location. A must place to call in, even if just for a quiet drink.

Thank you Maui, Becca and Nathan for your friendly hospitality:) The "glamping" tents are clean and comfortable and there is definitely a relaxed and secluded vibe that we had hoped for. The food was some of the best (both range of options and quality) we have had in a remote Australian location- thank you Lee! Would highly recommend.

Couldn't get all our meals ready together. (There were 6 of us) after about 15 minutes we went back in to check where the last 2 meals were and they'd just left them on the counter. There were only about 2 other tables of customers that already had the meals so they could have walked them out or called out to us. They were very defensive and really couldn't care less. The meals were over cooked as well. Eg chips and wedges.

Awesome place to go. Must see. Staff great. Helpful. Situated at bulwer on moreton island. Burgers toasted sandwiches. Chips fish ice creams. Bait. Alcohol if you forget bread drinks sweets. Dairy. Book a unit. Go glamping. 4x4 tracks. Wrecks. Helipad. One place you wont want to miss.

For a Business that is reliant on diesel generator power, (Morton Island has no electricity), all the staff do an amazing job (including the MICAT ferry) to supply all the basic essentials, accommodation, and the most amazing food, all with a happy energy unmatched anywhere.

Great store and good food, its good as a general store with bait, drinks and ice and dry goods on shelves and also has some general information about the area.

The best your going to get on the island. Food was quite good. Typical meals such as burgers, fish and chips etc.

A casual and friendly place to visit. Food is generally good and reasonably priced considering the isolated location. The store has a good selection of groceries for the long term visitor.
Stubby coolers are a tad expensive though ;)

Awsome all round general store great staff always happy and helpful if only they would stay open to a normal time and not shut so early, this is only problem but a massive one

Store stocks most everything you'd need on the island, have only eaten dinner here once and won't be back for dinner again, I'd been on the island 10 days and the steak had been there longer from the smell of it, was way overcooked from what was requested also, likely to try and cover up how old it was.

Good food and basic supplies etc. Plenty of cold drinks and ice creams. Charge like a wounded bull, but that's to be expected if you come to Moreton.

They have just about everything you need when staying on the island. Expect to pay for the privelege but that's expected on an island
