Bunnings Virginia

I've been here a couple times now and I love how the cafe has used inside and outside as part of their layout. My one complaint is that I came in about a week ago to purchase a Norfolk island pine tree. They told me they didn't have it in stock at that point, that's fine. They told me to call ahead to check so I called today. They replied that no store in the North Brisbane area has the Norfolk pine tree. I decided to head over there anyway to get out of the house. When I got there, 3 Norfolk pines in the entrance way. And another 5 in the garden section. I know you guys can do better than that.

Excellent help when you can get it, sometimes hard to find someone to help. There was two brands of plumbing washers of the same type in different aisles, which was a bit confusing.

Great new 2 story store with undercover car parking. They seem to have every thing and more that you could ever need. As usual though, it can be hard to get someone to assist you. The staff are very friendly and are helpful when you can catch one. I will certainly go back there.

A young woman with dark-brown hair wearing a name tag that said "turf specialist" helped us and was lovely and polite, even though I had remembered the item a bit differently to how it actually was, and was extremely helpful and patient. 5 stars.

Easy to get to with multiple entries/exits. Car parking is all under cover which is a bonus especially during summer, and the parking spaces were a decent size.
It was pleasantly cool when I first walked in, even though it was in the mid 30 degrees outside. It doesn't seem to be air conditioned, but there has been thought put into insulation so it's cooler inside than out.
It has a 'fresh' kind of feel to it, with the layout of the isles still being fairly similar to my previous regular, Stafford Bunnings, so it wont be too much of a shock to the system in trying to find what you are looking for. I actually had a staff member ask if I needed help finding anything (which is unusual in my experience at other Bunnings).
You'll still find the much loved sausage sizzle happening in the carpark, and on the particularly hot day I was there, they had a hydration station with free cups of water.

Has everything I need. I no longer have to drive to Stafford. The Bunnings at Toombul doesn't have many items so it was always a toss up between going there and driving the extra distance to Stafford. No more as I can go to the Virginia store instead:)

Good to see a Bunnings in this much needed location. I liked the undercover parking and general building layout. Staff were very friendly. The parking area could do with a bit more direction / signage as some drivers seemed to be quite confused.

This place is big. BIG. I reckon you need a packed lunch and a water bottle to get from one side to the other (joking of course). It's new. It's well stocked. I got exactly what I wanted. Not much else to say. Oh yes, there is undercover parking do you don't need to get back into a blazing hot vehicle after your visit.

So much bigger than Carseldine and Stafford. The customer service here is great. Let's hope it continues and doesn't drop off like older stores. Heaps of undercover parking too.

Brilliant! These newly built stores are designed so well. Undercover parking (yes! Come back to a cool car), really wide aisles and maybe air-conditioning, it was pleasantly cool the day we were there. Not sure about the service as we didn't need to ask questions. But for a quick stop to grab what you need, it's easy.

Bunnings is always a favourite with my husband where ever the store may be and having the new big store in Virginia makes his day and his smile even greater

Fail, Fail and Fail. Who designed this? Not a Queensland architect.
This afternoon, nice and cool, about 27 degrees.
Undercover parking, fabulous.
Walk in the front door to ride a travelator up and immediately hit with the hot stuffy air in this very weird, don't know what to call it, maybe Amphitheatre?
For goodness sakes, it is about 2 stories of glass and facing South and West. What were they thinking? Obviously not about design.
Second fail.
No fans in the aisles like every other Bunnings. No fans on the ceiling either. This is Queensland. We invented ceiling fans.
There will be heatstroke victims in summer here.
Third, no staff knows where the Allen Keys are.
One in the tools department didn't know what an Allen Key was.
But I can forgive this as it being a new store with new staff.
Even though, seeing as they didn't know where the Allen Keys were I said I would be happy to get some Barry Keys or even George Keys. Unfortunately the joke was over their head and now I feel bad about it. Staff were very friendly and helpful otherwise.
So, it back to Stafford or Carseldine branches for me.
