Bowen Visitor Information Centre

A lovely lady named Glenn assisted us and provided some ideas to visit while in Bowen. Very friendly. The mango sorbet was delicious.

A good information centre, with helpful staff and mango sorbet for sale. Pretty tasty stuff, that sorbet. Grab one, get a photo with the big mango, and continue on with your day:)

Great place to visit, the tourist information centre is full of good informationand helpful staff about travelling around North Queensland. The best part about it other fresh mango sorbet that you can get from there. And one hell of a photo of opportunity with the big Mango.there are also a number of different structures around to have a look at and a mango tree right in front of the big Mango.

Closed like many in North Queensland. Dissapointed that use covid as a excuse when most shop's are open

Amazing information supplied by Ashleigh. Only popped in for an ice cream and came out with a ton of local information, as well as information all the way up to Cairns and more. Ashleigh gave us great information in accommodation in Bowen and where to eat. Glad we stopped, and it's on our list to come again for longer.

Who wouldn't want to stop at a big mango! Great staff at the info centre along with frozen mango sorbet to boot! Come to Bowen in November when the mangoes are ripe!

Good place to start your visit. SUPER friendly staff and lots of tours and trips you can book. You will get a good start here. They also have delicious mango sorbet

Great place to get information about tourist attractions around Bowen. The Big Mango can be found there as well. The location of the visitors information centre is a few kilometres on the south side of Bowen as you head to Mackay

It's amazing as we drive around the Whitsunday area how little caravan parking there is. It can be a real challenge to find somewhere to stop to shop or buy a coffee or visit a point of interest. Proserpine museum is a prime example although we managed to park in parking area only because there was hardly anyone there. When we came out there were a lot more cars and we wouldn't have been able to stop.
