Bowen Visitor Information Centre

Never could I complain about the service the service is always amazing and with the taste of the mango that's another story, you can't just drive past without stopping taking a photo. And having a bit of mango sorbet!

We stopped here to see the big mango. 100% Bowen mango sorbet for $6 at the information centre.

Very good information, worth going in and getting advice, through the tips we saw turtles in the water. The mango sorbet is also quite tasty.

How could you not stop off here, 1 to take a photo in front of that big mango, and 2.to find out what else there is to see and do in the area!

Stopped here to see the big mango and to go to the toilet and ended up receiving some very helpful information from Ruthie, ended up staying 2 nights to see all the sites she recommended and they were awesome as she described. Definitely recommend the flagstaff hill & rotary lookout, horseshoe bay and birds fish bar!

The staff were so warm, friendly and welcoming. We spoke with Kev who gave us lots of great information on what to see and do in Bowen - with his advice we saw sea turtles from the jetty in town! Lovely people and a lovely town. Thank you!

Big Mango! Passed through on our family road trip up to Cairns. Nice airconditioned shop. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Ice creams available to help cool off on a hot day and under cover seated area outside.

Staff are so helpful and friendly! Told us about all the best spots that you don’t read about online. Clean bathrooms too!

Pretty good, huge area. Stopped in the pub for a beer. As per previous comments, the mill and trains are somewhat noisy and detract from the site however, I wouldn't say I won't be back.

Friendly staff, told me the few things to do in Bowen for the days with all brochure to carry on north.

A good place for a stopover, for information of the local attraction.
Also to get some tourist trinkets, and mango type snacks.

Did a day trip from Cannonvale to Bowen this morning. Quick stop at the Giant mango then went into the information centre to grab some brochures and map. The two ladies were friendly and very helpful! Yes, we did try the famous mango sorbet and its delicious! Knowing its pure mango no sugar no nasty stuff, its a must to have! And we also got the rum and raisin on an waffle cone.they all delicious! Yep, its warm enough to have sorbet and ice cream in Bowen

Entrance to the tropics is felt in the air. Going north only stop at placess on your left or end up going back. Info centre is on the left. I needed a singlet and a coffee.made me a real cuppa but no singlets (bad mistake) only thick T's with mango pic's. Now I knew where I was

Visited on Tuesday to purchase Bowen items to send to family. Good range of mango and Bowen items, also got brochures for my next trip north. Friendly and helpful staff.

The staff at the centre were so friendly and showed us all the best places to visit in Bowen. Great place to stop in before heading to town.

Top spot. The girls here are know it all's about Bowen and love their jobs. Awesome mango frozen ice treats too.
