I had surgery in November 2022 for severe gynecomastia. I was very happy with my experience.

Since gyno is an embarrassing issue for men, I was happy that Dr Chen, as well as the staff, were compassionate regarding my situation. Dr Chen was very helpful and answered all of the questions I had about the surgery and recovery.

The operation was straight forward, and my recovery was quick and almost completely pain free. I was very impressed with the results too!

I went back in 6 months later for both a review, and to ask about minor scar tissue. He provided me with a kenalog injection, free of charge!

I can honestly say getting this surgery was one of the best things I’ve ever done, and for any men out there who also suffer from gynecomastia, I highly recommend Dr Chen.

To all woman looking for a trustworthy and dignified surgeon. Stay well away from Dr James Chen and his staff. Everything about this clinic is misleading and fraudulent. If you feel unsatisfied with the work Dr James Chen and his staff has done on you and you’ve queried it. You are likely to have experienced pain, severe bruising, tissue scarring, uneven lines, severe numbness, regular headaches, with your body looking worse than it did prior to surgery of surgery actually happened at all. In which case, you would’ve called through to the clinic or emailed Dr James Chen requesting a full refund. You may have had to fight for your refund also. As a result of your query, Dr James Chen would’ve either … threatened or convince you to follow his formality of signing a Deed of Release to protect himself from being sued for medical negligence and fraudulent activity. This is the only affordable way to resolve your dispute as he would’ve threatened you with legal action or simply told you that there’s no solicitors that will help you in this situation. So you feel trapped and end up signing the deed. He will also ask you to remove bad reviews. That said, it doesn’t prevent a much larger problem nor does it protect the general public from future damages. If you’ve ever received services by this fraud. I strongly suggest you get in contact with The Office of Health Ombudsman immediately and talk to a solicitor right way.

I had Erbium laser resurfacing done 2 years ago at Ashbury clinic to remove my sun damage and wrinkles. I am so happy with the results because it is more permanent than the other Fraxel laser that I had done multiple times before. Their service is impeccable.
I just had Cooltech fat freezing procedure done a month ago and already seeing a smaller tummy. Ashbury clinic prices are very affordable. I am definitely coming back.

I go to Ashbury Cosmetic Surgery at Windsor for botox in the back of my neck and also my shoulders. I have headaches and neck and shoulder tension pain all the time from a whiplash incident years ago. The injections helped me instantly with a headache I had at the time! I couldn't believe it. And it keeps on helping for quite a few months. I think for some reason it lasts longer in your neck and shoulders than elsewhere. This treatment has been a life changer for me. I no longer need to live on pain killers for weeks on end. I have had it done a few times now with Dr Chen and will keep it up. Thank you Ashbury. My quality of life has much improved.

I had a lower facelift (mini facelift/s - lift) recently performed by Dr Chen and I am 'over the moon' with the result. The staff at reception and clinic nurses were, and continue to be wonderful. They all made me feel so relaxed and comfortable every step of the way. I highly recommend this clinic for this and other facial procedure:)

Based on my personal experience, I can tell that Ashbury Clinic is one of the best places to get liposuction treatment. I got mine done by Dr. James Chen and I was super impressed! He is a highly experienced surgeon with extensive knowledge of the procedure and very hygienic and friendly. The prices are also quite reasonable. You will get good value for money. I can vouch for that.

I've had a partial facelift, Lipo on my tummy and the veins on one leg done over the years. Absolutely pleased. No problems.

I don’t understand a one star review of this place, I’ve been going to them for years for filler, Botox and veins and have always had excellent service. My treatments are always exactly what I ask for. The staff are always warm and welcoming. My skin and anti aging regime with them is affordable and working! I really hope the negative reviews aren’t new clinics just trying to discredit a fabulous clinic that has been around and stood the test of time. I’ll be sticking with Ashbury and Dr Chen for my beauty needs. I totally trust them

Hi people. I’m a guy and I don’t usually post reviews. But I had such a good experience at this place at Windsor that I felt I would this time. From my online enquiry right through to my treatment I was looked after. From the receptionist Kelly through to the nurse Trish I received extraordinary customer service. Thank you ladies. Very overpriced, rude staff too. I received a quote for my treatment then when it actually came to the day of treatment they used an antibacterial gel without asking if I wanted it and then charged me for it too, very rude and unprofessional. I had to help the girls out the front with their maths when it came to adding everything up. I sent an email asking for an official receipt, they then gave me a phone call and were extremely rude, I had to tell them to stop talking and let me actually talk, no customer should have to do this. They proceeded to say “you don’t get anything back so why do you need one” extremely extremely extremely unprofessional and horribly rude. If I had of done my research I would have definitely gone to a different clinic. I won’t be coming back here.

AVOID ASHBURY —— December 2017 I had a male abdominoplasty from dr Boyle at the ashbury clinic. Long story short I had no liposuction and have been left basically with excess skin removed & that’s it.
No contouring no anything that was promised just a slap and grab job. Living some 4 hours away from Brisbane the ordeal I’ve had is unbelievable. From 2 cancelled appointment whilst travelling to Brisbane and all the work commitments that ones moves to make the initial appointments to 16 hours post surgery dr Boyle telling me to discharge myself from hospital and travel 30 mins to the ashbury clinic office so he may examine me for the FIRST time, no bedside visit just jump in a car after having a surgery from hip to hip. I clearly wasn’t happy with the lack of workmanship and how it doesn’t look right. We discussed revisions and dr Boyle expressed how it often happens & my situation is no different.
At this stage I felt that I really should record this conversation in case I miss any information.
18 months post surgery still nothing has been done neither ashbury clinic nor Dr Boyle will honour the promise even with the voice recording. It’s embarrassing when you see another plastic surgeon for a second opinion and immediately they ask if I had it done in Thailand or Bali. Ashbury clinic take your money happily but do not care about the patient
