ALDI Sunnybank Hills reviews
57 I was very impressed today. I understand that Aldi like you to pack quicker than what you can pick things up, but we went to Aldi at Sunnybank Hills today and was served by Owen, their checkout chick.
He was amazing. For starters, he checked our eggs. Made sure none were broken. I was shocked and thought he might be showing off, but I observed him doing it for the people behind us as well.
While he did push our groceries through quickly, he actually popped them up on the edge, so they were so much easier to take and put in the trolley. He also actually handed some to me when he noticed I was ready, and when my partner was paying on the EFT machine, he passed our last products over the top.
I don't think it made him any slower. The pace we moved things was just as fast as we normally would, but the personal service that he showed was very much appreciated.
He was really attentive and very lovely.
I hope that this store really appreciate the great staff that they have in Owen.
Thank you.
I love Aldi for specific items, particularly Potato Gratin from freezer section. Just pop into the oven for a simple, tasty and classy side.
Thank you to the checkout staff this morning for treating me like a piece of meat hurrying through with my few groceries as if I'm a bother to you with an unsmiling unfriendly face. Are you all naturally like that or do you get training? On the rare occasions I visit that store my experience is similar.
Always a busy store, good buys and some fair prices.
You have to be quick to pack your shopping though, blink once and all 50 items have been scanned
Must be very short staffed when you can't even have you own trolley's available at opening time?
Very rude customer service. Staff are always in such a hurry at every store but today after spending over $150 at checkout I was literally asked to pay for my shopping regardless of it not yet in the shopping basket so that he could serve the next customer. So so rude and in a hurry to leave checkout.
Recently remodeled, the new entry is a bit easier to use and aligns better with other Aldi stores in the area.
Seriously, the big Aussie guy needs to work on his customer service skills. Pushing customers along just so he can get off the register is not a good look for this major brand. Aldi's has been my grocery store for over 15 years. It just takes one cocky staff to change the shopping experience for many families.
Heads up Aldi >>> you need to urgently review the DANGEROUS practice in the way your shopping trolleys are being rolled down the back fire ramp of the building from the top floor to the bottom floor. One individual rolling 20+ trolleys down these ramps is an accident waiting to happen. The individual cannot hold back the weight this many trolleys on the incline so the trolleys are crashing into the handrails on the way down. This morning your shopping trolleys almost took out an elderly Chinese gentleman, and if he hadn't jumped out of the way as the trolleys hurtled down the last section of ramp onto the bottom floor, he would have been knocked over/crushed. Do the right thing and use a ute with a trolley trailer to relocate your trolleys before you put a member of the public in hospital!
Popped in to get some coffee and saw a crowd over the other aisle and found they had winter coats on sale. Picked up a few items and looked at what else is on sale. Busy today but still got through the checkout fairly quickly.
I haven’t visited this particular Aldi for a while, and can’t remember when they renovated. However, the store looks great, always well stocked and clean.
Some items are not available as per their Specials catalogue but that’s because of the supply chain issue affecting most businesses.
Always happy to support.
A massive thankyou to the Sheila at the check out who complimented my wife as we were at he checkout. Thankyou so much for your kind words, you made her day!
It's Aldi, the German food chain with low prices. Range can be a little limited at times but the prices can't be beaten. Weekly specials cause a certain kind of mania in some shoppers but are often great value and good quality. Parking at Sunnybank Hills Shopping Town can be an adventure in its own right, lots of levels, lots of entrances and lots of bad parkers.
Aldi like most stores has supply issues at the moment so do expect gaps
Like most places, they start to run out of stock like bread after 3pm. Probably one of the smaller ones around, but it's out local…
I’ve started doing my weekly shopping here since the shelves are always well stocked with plenty of options available. Fruit is reasonably priced and fresh. Staff are always very pleasant and happy to help if needing assistance.
If you can find another Aldi nearby I highly recommend going elsewhere and not the Sunnybank Hills location. The staff are very rude, condescending, and are on power trips. I forgot to bring my mask in and one staff member who i didnt get the name from was completely rude and patronising. With the mandates just being introduced on Saturday, it would be nice to have some compassion for those who may simply forget. I understand the requirement to wear a mask but i honestly just forgot it in my car and forgot it was required again. Instead of quietly coming up to me to tell me, I was called out in front of others in a very unprofessional manner. There are ways to approach people in a manner that is not so rude and its something i would expect an employee representing another company to do. I felt very singled out and didnt even bother going back in to do my shopping because i was embarrassed. I do not take this as a true representation of Aldi, however I do think their staff require more training within customer service and representing the company they work for.
Always have some good bargains. Quality is good and the range while limited iw not too bad for my needs.
This place always ask to bag check your grocery bags but they don't actually check anything. What a waste of time. The queue is always long and waiting time is like a woman waiting for a toilet in a nightclub. The store has too many unnecessary items all over the place. Staff are generally rude and look miserable. One time this staff got angry with me for not taking a carton of egg at the bottom. Does she expect me to buy rotton eggs. They always harass you with taking a catalogue. Aldi is so bad at environmental issues. Why is there a need to print any more brouchers when everything is online?
Have you heard of click and collect? Great specials but you can never get them and there is no way of finding out which shop has stock.
Great place to shop, yes its a bit crowded and sometimes there is a wait to checkout, but you get great value for your money and some products unique to ALDI.
And I always buy cut flowers here, good choice and prices.
