Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre reviews
66This cultural centre should be more live and interactive to allow us along with kid to know and learn the cultural and ancient history of the original Australian.
Staff were very knowledgeable helpful and the artwork is priced well with all profits going back to the local artists.
A must if you go to Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Learn about the aboriginal land and culture. Very informative
Great place to visit to get some information and view local art.
There are also toilets here.
Really informative board information and some interactive screens. The receptionist didn't engage us at all but we found it a 'must do'.
So glad to see the Cultural Centre reopen again. Although not 100 percent operating with kiosk still closed. Still worth a visit.
The tourists business, not comparable to nature wonder, my recommendation not to stay here for long, better directly to start your round walk, there are enough to see.
Always an awesome place walked it twice two separate occasions do it again if I could not being disrespectful but they thought for a long time to get the rock back for them to lease it back to the government for them to tell the government that people can't walk on it anymore not a good way of doing the things don't you think the surrounding of the rock would be more sacred in the top being people would have lived around the bottom surrounding a lot more than the top so what's more sacred the bottom or the top fart it's all about money isn't it
A great place to learn more about the indinious culture. No photos allowed, definitely worth visiting while you're in the national park.
A must do before visiting Uluru. This mini museum explains a lot about the place and the owner of the lands.
There is also explanation about the food one can find in the area (plants, roots, insects.)
It also features documentaries about the aborigines working and living in the area and two art galleries with aboriginal art.
It was a lovely place to visit and see some of the historical information about the aboriginal people. I found it very peaceful and appreciated what it had to offer. We weren't allowed any photography as a sign of respect to the indigenous people of the area so you'll have to go and see for yourself. They had a gift shop there with aboriginal artwork. It was off season so possibly there may be more in peak season to see and do and the centre. Overall good experience and they have toilet facilities on site.
Did not have long here and would have liked to explore a little more although we did find that it was relatively small overall, especially the information section. Mostly galleries with artwork that was far beyond our budget. Having said that, we went on a cultural walk with a local artist and this was a highlight of our trip.
Was lovely to see the cultural aspects of Uluru. There was as a gift shop/Cafe that was there. Hours of operation 7-something in the morning until 5pm, but it was closed at 4pm when we went.
Lots of reading so not great with kids however a lovely lady working there was fantastic engaging them.
Very informative cultural center and great for learning about the area and it’s history either before or after a base walk. It’s very clear why you shouldn’t climb so please don’t climb! Learned a lot about the local people as well as the history of the hand off from the colonizers back to the local people. Good art exhibits as well.
Its ok, they have some interesting things to look at, but i don't know who cleans the toilet there, but they need to be trained properly on how to clean them properly, ive been a professional cleaner for 30years and the standard of cleaning is poor!
Very interesting and if you had the time could easily stay for a long period, reading and observing the stories of the land and it's people. It was a quiet and cool area to take a rest and refill the water bottles.
Wonderful experience. Lots going on hikes or shorter walks. Recommend taking a hat - wth net attached
The center is fascinating the stories of the Anagnu people. The cultural demonstration is also very good. Just remember your bug spray and fly net, and drink lots and lots of water.
Mostly closed. Only one of the, shall we say, "shops" or "kiosks" was open. Hence, hard to say how good it "normally" is.
