Tennant Creek Caravan Park reviews
72Love the place. Small compact and have everything you need for family holiday. Accommodate 3 single bed with queen enusite and kitchen. Walking distance to Chinese restaurant and find it on the main road. Service request done in few mins and lots of space for kids and dogs. Caravan parks power and uncovered
Don't sleep at Tennant Creek and if you do, don't go in this caravan park.
1. We got robbed during the night. Window broken. It happens frequently apparently.
2. During night time you'll hear the noise pf the neighbourhood. Not really calm, normal it is located in the city
3. Amenities aren't really clean and quite old. Lots of spiders. Even though it is acceptable, you'll find better around tennant creek I think
4. The owner is not really nice. When the police arrived in the middle of the night, he came and did not even say "hi" to us. He left just after he saw what happened and did not even offer ANY HELP. May be he would have later, don't know.
Good point: his wife is really nice
Clearly better to look for something 50km away from Tennant Creek.
This is another place we stayed at more than once. All cabins were clean, tidy and stocked everything needed. First stay we experienced a bit of noise but it was pretty close to road. Second time the cabin was luxury, two rooms and back a bit further from road. It was fabulous. The staff that I had dealing with were nice and friendly.
One of my favourite van parks. I stayed there twice this trip and I recommend. The owners, David and Kylie made me feel very welcome each time.
Great powered site. Lovely and comfortable but the cold showers are not what you expect. Both male and female showers the same. A little more attention needed in this area.
Great park with clean amenities. Good location. We arrived a little late but they welcomed us very kindly:) highly recommended!
Stayed here 5 days, adequate toilets and showers, laundry, only 1 dryer. No dump point.
Friendly staff. Book swap in shop. Nice enough for the area. Has a pool.
Good caravan park with friendly staff basic amenities but lovely hot showers and bbq. Gates locked at night. Please support them. We walked down the street and chatted to locals all good
Great place roomy and clean toilets average especially that silly urinal.but the place in general is a well layed out park
Took us in on late Xmas Eve, during a massive downpour and flooding. One of the kindest and most appreciated acts of our holiday. Thank you
Drove down to newcastle in nsw from darwin, first stop was this caravan park and i was amazed this place is bloody awesome. The people running the park are amazong and so nice the pool is very clean and undercover, the amentities are kept really clean. Given that we decided to stay here again on the way back up to darwin and nothing has changed. The owners are just as lovely and the place is just as good i couldnt recommend it enough and i will definitely stay here every time im passing through.
Tennant creek caravan park is a very secure, safe area that is within walking distance to the nearest pub, Sporty’s.
We were picked up by the owner at the airport as we had no mode of transport to the accommodation as we were only staying the night to track to Alice Springs.
Lovely workers at the caravan park, friendly, funny, and extremely helpful and welcoming to us backpackers.
Thanks again!
Really good management, open friendly social area for cooking and dining. On the main street through Tennant Creek very handy entry / exit access and walking distance to town centre.
A great couple managing the park Corey and Emma. Helped us out in our time of trouble with our van and pointed out a great mechanic who fixed the issue. Felt very safe it is a lovely park with excellent facilities.
David and Kylie were warm, funny, welcoming and very helpful - the salt water pool was awesome on a hot day - the amenities and camp kitchen clean and tidy - a little oasis in the middle of Australia - I'll be back
Turned on the wrong tap and was threatened do not stay here Emma was nice but Corey was a total jerk and was talking to other campers loudly till 1: 30 am
Safe, secure place to camp for the night. Facilities ok. Harsh conditions take their toll.
Regular management changes and barbwire all around the perimeter feels unease, however probably best places to stay in town.
Always enjoy our stay here as we have stayed each year on our annual holiday heading north.
Owners very accomodating and were very helpful and understanding when someone complained about our special needs son, relocating us to another site at our request.
Clean facilities. Good security with locked gates. Short walk to the sporties club which has lovely meals.
Can’t thank them enough for being empathetic to our needs, highly recommend!
Good park. Owner and caretakers obviously care about the park and guests. Good security. Wifi (paid extra) available.
