Savannah Bar & Restaurant (Knotts Crossing Resort) reviews
60HALF WAY HOUSE, kept up all night by people having a party and arguing. Staff were unwilling to do anything about it.food was terrible.
Reception not very welcoming
Site ok but not a lot of shade, ensuite
Pool freezing towels provided
Lots of options of accom cabins, caravans etc
Out of centre of town quiet
Excellent food, great range. Quite affordable too.
Would have given 5/5 stars if the washrooms were upgraded to modern standards.
Have previously raved about KC, but this time was a lot different. My room smelt like spew for two of the 4 nights, thank yiu dred lock cleaner for helping out. Food was bad miss the old staff.
Great quality food.
Probably the best I try in North Australia
Service very slow thought.
Nice caravan and motel place
The staff was friendly and helpful, atmosphere very nice, but the food was definitely not worth the money. An average $10- pub meal is better plated up then this.
I prefer the cabins to the motel rooms, even though the bathroom is outside. Knotts is quiet, clean and is a seccure place to stay. It has a great restaurant and pool too. It's one of my first picks when staying in Katherine.
Very disappointed with the staff at this restaurant, she was not only rude but have a big attitude as well. Slammed a bag of ice in the sink when that was her fault for not listening to the order. I came the Katherine every year for the past 4 years for my children’s swimming carnival.unfortunately my children’s have to stayed for dinner with club otherwise they will definitely join me at the other restaurant
Rooms are ok, and front desk was friendly and helpful. But the food was terrible and way overpriced and took forever to come out. It was quiet when we got to the restaurant, we were the 4th or 5th table filled, but it still took an hr for the kids meals and entree to arrive. After the adult meals arrived it wasn't hot more like room temperature, no flavour and quite dull and bland. The salad dressing tasted like they had just poured olive oil over it for a dressing. The fish tasted like they bought it frozen from the grocery store and definately not worth the $28 for fish and chips! It took 20mins just to get the kids desserts at the table. Very very disappointed and definitely not worth, will not be back
Great restaurant, very tasty food and friendly staff. My dad was very impressed by the food here, and he said the food taste better than Dinner by Heston in crown Melbourne.
Great place to pitch a tent for the night, pet friendly so you can bring your best friends with you
Staff were lovely, Canadian guy in reception is great
The restaurant was a bit over priced but the happy hour pizza was delicious
As far as the accommodation goes it is well overpriced for what this “resort” offers. For the price you are paying you would expect the place to be more modern than it is. The website is misleading, offering “private bathrooms” which is essentially an out-house that shares a roof with another out-house (“private bathroom”). If you pay a premium, you can be upgraded to a fairly subpar motel room. Actually, it’s not all bad, I did use the iron from the motel room to iron some clothes, and I have to say the iron wasn’t bad at all. I was able to get most of the creases out of my clothing but alas not my spirit.
If you are staying at this resort without a campervan, you might need to lower your standards.
Nice location, pitty rooms smell like stale cigarette smoke so bad my eyes sting. Smoker rooms should be seperated. Stink of cigarettes wafting from other rooms. If you have Asthma stay somewhere else
Everyone enjoyed their meals immensely. Generous servings and well cooked well presented dishes. Quiet surrounds. Great night
Service was lacklustre. Had to chase down service ourselves. Dinner itself was great though. Steak was cooked excellently.
Very dated rooms and cabins. The place needs a major renovation inside out, and I had bad experiences with staying there twice (booked via corporate). Second time was in a motel room, where a sewage problem caused bad smell in the toilet. I won't recommend this place as there are a few better ones in Katherine.
Buffet food was absolute rubbish. Only edible food was the vegetables and even they didn't look very appealing.
Knotts Crossing is a great place to stay and its Savannah restaurant is a great place to eat! Perhaps a little bit pricey but it was worth it. I recommend the barramundi. The service was good too, as was the atmosphere, even when dining alone.
Enjoyed our overnight stay in a cute, very clean cabin in a green leafy location. The restaurant food was excellent with a lovely outdoor setting option. Friendly and attentive staff.
Nice place but upgraded rooms not very sound proof. Good value for money but expect to be awaken early from 5 am. Just my experience.
