We have been trying to contact someone for over a week to change our booking due to Covid not a single person has answered a phone call or email, your phones actually just go around in a pre recorded loop that does not register buttons being pressed to progress the call and speak with an actual human. We have also had 3 representatives from Qantas travel try to get into contact with you and still nothing! Absolutely disgraceful service, fix your phones and return people's emails.

We loved our time at the Sails. The room was very pretty, spacious and smelled very nice.
Service was great, all staff very friendly and keen to provide any help you need.
Great to see a lot of staff with aboriginal background and the development that the resort brings to the area.
Definitely recommend!

We arrived at the airport at Ayres rock and worked our way through the Covid 19 checks and waiting at the terminal doors were 2 coaches to take us and the other passengers to the resort. When we arrived we found checkin to run smoothly and the room was ready to check in, we were lucky enough to have 2 adjoining newly renovated 2nd level premium Appartments with two king size beds inside each room and a huge deck overlooking the pool area with wicker day bed pod and two sun lounges and a beautiful new bathroom with designer fittings and a seat in the shower a beautiful design and Indigenous artwork on the walls and shadow lighting and beautiful lamps and fittings, excellent wifi and Tv worked well. Overall a fantastic comfortable place to stay totally recommend sails in the desert breakfast buffet each morning was replenished regularly with fresh eggs to order. We didn’t have the Buffet dinner but other guests we met at sounds of silence dinner told us to give the buffet dinner at the resort a miss as food was bland and tasteless not value for money, so we ate at Gekkos cafe and Ayres Wok which had a good selection of food and drink. Staff were all working very hard and seemed to be working everyday and at multiple jobs within the resort as they are short staffed due to Covid only operating at 50% capacity which has its benefits to guests as it’s not overcrowded which we loved, in saying that every staff member we had anything to do with was friendly and did a great job looking after every request or need.
Can totally recommend staying at Sails in the desert.

We are extremely disheartened. We booked months ago to go to the Sounds of Silence Dinber.
A"highlight" apparently.
I say apparently because we never got to experience it.
We booked for the Thursday night of a 4 night stay only to be notified by email prior to our visit that we had been moved to the Tuesday night.
NO conversation with us whatsoever.
There were reasons we booked the Thursday night.
It was raining yesterday so I enquired twice if the dinner would still be on?
Both times told yes, it was.
Then it rained heavily and it was cancelled.
We now find out that in fact the dinner is on every night we are here but fully booked.
We have not been contacted by anyone re refund, re possibly rebooking.
Nothing and no one in fact
So approx 300 other guests will get to experience the dinner but not us.

. Appalling service. Be warned

What a great place to stay and enjoy these wonderful surroundings. Spent three nights at this wonderful hotel with the service and facilities better than what we expected. The staff were tremendously accommodating and all you had to do was ask. The restaurant team there were great and we can’t thank them enough. Clayton, Tom, Julia and the list goes on provided fantastic service and really nice to talk to. The breakfast was fantastic with everything you could ask for. The dinner at $77 a head also very special. No shortage of choice and between the oysters, lamb cutlets and the dishes we were more than satisfied. I must admit that I had read some negative reviews and was concerned, but I am not sure if they dined at the same place. On another night we also had the bar food and a bottle of wine. The with the calamari, beef tacos and the hamburger more than enough for two and just could not get enough of the Hawkes Bay 2014 Wild Rock red. Keep up the great work and compliments to all the smiling staff whom work so hard to please so many.

Had a great time at Sails in the Desert. Service was a little slow although this is likely a result of reduced staff owing to covid. Only a 5 minute walk to the lookout which has a good view of Uluru. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Looking forward to visiting again.

The rooms were spacious with 2 Queenbeds that are freshly made every day and with clean bath towels, and pool towels. There is a safe, kitchenette, bar fridge, TV aircon and a balcony with chairs and table. If you are a smoker there is an ash tray for use outside. There is room service. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Whilst visiting Ularra for the third time I went to the Sails in the Sand hotel for a glass of wine and an aperitif. Once seated, menu read and closed I waited for 20 minutes for service only to be ignored by staff. We don't treat international visitors like this I hope.

Stayed for 3 nights in the Superior Room and we loved it!
Room and bathroom were renovated last year (excl balcony) - spacious, clean and comfortable. The view from our room of Uluru is just amazing!
Wifi is fast & phone reception is good.
Air conditioning works great in the 33degrees heat, amenities are good & room is serviced daily.
Big part of the carpark is not paved which is the only let down for a 5 star hotel.
Room service breakfast was good & didn’t have to wait long but lunch/dinner options are limited (similar menu to the bars) especially for gluten free options.
Buffet breakfast was great! Lots of options for delicious western and Asian food, good value for what you get!
Buffer dinner was also great, so many options of delicious seafood, grilled/BBQ meat, dessert etc. Amazing!
Pool was nice but pool bar is understaff probably because of covid plus the food is nice but took a really long time with limited gluten free option and cocktails are all premixed drinks in a plastic cup.
Staff in different restaurant/bars etc are all so friendly and helpful!

Not a "5 star" hotel by any stretch, I would give it a "3 star" rating at best. It is the nicest hotel at Yulara, rooms and facilities are clean and the staff are friendly but will give you the minimal amount of service until pushed. Food is average and the prices are *very* high. A standard beer will set you back $12.

Very height costumer services and very helpful. The bedrooms are a bit old and a bit expensive for what is it but very very clean. The clean service are very nice and do a extraordinary job (folding pijama and puting on the bed)

Overall pretty decent, would consider a 4 star hotel. Rooms were large and had all the basic amenities. Beds were comfortable. Would have rated higher except there was no room service, front desk didn't call when our room was ready even though they said they would & the showers are horrible! Really low water pressure and difficult to get hot water. Upgrade the bathrooms and it will be a much nicer guest experience.

Sails in the desert - terrible service - poor choice of lousy food - exorbitant food prices
Tried on 3 occasions to call guest service phone rung out no answer
Gordon Ramsey needs to sort this place out! Dreary rooms -comfortable bed & linen
No provision for kids activity
Classic example of how to succeed. With a monopoly
would not consider a return visit at no cost can't wait to get out of the place

If you want to go to a place and feel totally ripped off this is the place for you<br/>Over priced and under delivered. Food very ordinary for the ridiculous amount charged

I’m staying at the lost camel and decided to come here for lunch with a friend. We waited at the bar and felt iqnored by staff who served others first. Not sure if it was because we are not guests. My friend decided to go elsewhere but I had heard good reviews on the food and chose to stay. My meal was really good but I overheard (I’m assuming the manager) say to a colleague ”why is there only one person on that table? ” I immediately felt rather unwanted at the restaurant so quickly finished my meal and left. I didn’t feel I could say anything to the manager who seemed rather unwelcoming.

With no competition to speak of, you'll be paying top dollar to eat or stay here. But having had the misfortune to stay at one of the other places, the price is worth avoiding the other limited choices
