Self check in is slow. Staff are minimal and laundry is expensive. Laundry is on 3rd floor, laundry powder is in vending machine on 1st floor. TV reception.is scratchy. Not well considered at all.

This hotel is in need of serious work doing on it, the room smelt musty, on arrival to room you find out that there may not be house keeping every day, the room was very basic and needs updating, the bar and restaurant is closed you have to go to a near by cafe if you have booked breakfast, the ice machine had out of order on it, the laundry room has machines that have out of order on them a couple working, the pool area is a joke, it is a dunk pool and is not fit for use as was cloudy and the surrounds are disgusting did not dare use the area, a pole came off our curtain so we left it on the bed for housekeeping to inform maintenance and they just put in on the floor, the internet is so slow you cannot even load a page, one of the lifts broke down whist we were there and was like that for 3 days until we checked out early and changed hotels as we were so upset, this hotel is not fit for purpose and i would not recommend anyone to stay here until major works have been done on this premises, when we spoke to the manager we were told that that the hotel had been shut for a year due to covid and they had to cut back. They have definitely done that.

Lovely big room, I think things are different now after covid. You have to now ask for your room to be serviced and we didn't like self check in.

The location and room was excellent and the rest was ordinary, the room was only serviced every 2nd day, the TV was rubbish, there was no breakfast or restaurant for that matter. The advertised bar didn, t open. The ice machine didn, t work. I was unable to obtain change for the laundry facilities.pretty poor really

The girl at the reception was very rude. Didn't know how to talk customers. Room was not great. No telephone in the room. The TV was not working at all, supposed to be a 4 star hotel.

Great location in Darwin and friendly staff at the reception desk. Very basic amenities, but extremely functional and perfect for a quick stay.
$20/day parking fee in underground garage - save yourself the money and park on the street.
Our only complaints were the water pressure was bizarre and there was no way to change the source on the TV to HDMI.

Booked for this place, however they don’t respond to messages, didn’t end up staying.
I recommend Rydges at Palmerston and cheaper too

The hotel was good however, had to switch rooms as the TV was broken in the first (however, noting in the new room the TV still displayed poor reception across all channels), the elevator was out of order to the basement meaning bags had to be brought up the car park ramp and no daily cleaning service provided unless requested by reception. Otherwise rooms were comfortable but would probably explore other accomodation options before staying again.

I'm here for 2 weeks before I travel back to WA for work and the Rydges will be okay. Centrally located to everything in Darwin city, rooms are a good enough size and everything is clean.no problems at all.

Room and facilities are very good. However there are minimum services. Even the service desk is not attended. Restaurant has closed down. So you only get a room.

The room was quite smelly probably due to poor ventilation. It has moldy smell to it. We asked for a different room and that also had the same smell. Also had issues with their valet parking service. So we left to another hotel. Won't be returning here. Breakfast service was good though. Most of the staffs are nice. But the place isn't great. There are much better hotels around.

Basic hotel, with clean room & decent bathroom.

Noisy air conditioning.

Located in the CBD where pretty much nothing happens other than
Crocosaurus Cove about 5 minute walk away.

Rooms are around a huge atrium which goes down to a restaurant (closed at time of posting, much like all of Darwin in the "Wet Season").
Due to this the corridors are not air conditioned.

Room windows don't open so can get stuffy.

Laundry on Level 3 with washers/dryers at $4 each use.

Hotel restaurant on Level 1 for breakfast, which given the 50% discount to $15 dollar per person is just about worth it, even though cooked breakfast is made fresh.
Head to Salvatores on tbe corner for a better experience, and it's cheaper.

A shortish walk down to the Darwin Waterfront Precinct through The Mall Shopping to a more upmarket area of hotels and restaurants.

Very comfortable hotel to stay in. Room are fairly big for the price. Centrally located to the city and Mitchell St.
Only downside was the addition of $19 per night to park the car, which wasn't expected. Plenty of on street parking near by, which is free after 5pm, so no need to pay.

Hotel was great. The staff were great. I was concerned there were no Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander employees. I inquired with the manager, he confirmed there were currently no Indigenous employees. He resolved to look at their employment policy to address this issue.

Convenient location near shopping and dining district. The room size is reasonable. Rooms are a little dated but good enough for short stay. Happy to come back.

I dtayed three nights at this hotel, and there are few things I didnt like it.
1. Staff at reception not very friendly.
2. Its quite old. And pricey compared with nicer hotels.
3. Lights and aircon switchs placed near door, far from bed and no power points available at each side of bed.
4. The food at restaurant hotel not very tasteful.
5. Got a dishounored voucher.

There are nicer hotels around and seems that Rydges is not able to keep up.

A great interesting Hotel where a food hall is surrounded by different levels of floors of a Hotel. Food was great here. All staff were friendly and helpful. I had a good time here. Hopefully, I'll be back there sometime.

Room was well presented, room service was late and low, but all in all, couldn't fault it for budget accommodation

Our stay was most disappointing. I am a returning customer. We booked 3 rooms x 8 paxs n paid additional 3rd paxs for the 2 rooms. - The two rooms x 3 paxs each room ; 1st day provided 3 sets of body wash n shampoo. 2nd day provide 2 sets, 3rd day provide 1 set, 4th day no house keeping, no shampoo n body wash for 3 rooms.
When asked to provide more sets, Manager keep arguing that housekeeper said she has provided 3 sets. Housekeeper claimed when upon returning to the room 2nd time there were no more sets left in the bathroom (still didn't provide shampoo n body wash), provide 2 body cream (didn't ask for), we have returned to Manager - unprofessional arguing with customers over shampoo n body wash - I feel indirectly calling me a liar! Manager said he need to investigate - over body wash n shampoo?

Infact, we were prepared to purchase our own body wash n shampoo from supermarket - Darwin being so hot. Certainly, no more staying with Rydges!
