As an American I didn't know that Darwin and other places, to include Sydney, were bombed by the Japanese right after Pearl Harbor. The films and virtue reality experiences were well done and informative. I would revisit.

What an amazing experience to see this. I had no idea of the work that was and is undertaken by the RFDS. Well worth a look

Very friendly staff, excellent use of technology to help us learn all about the RFDS and the bombing of Darwin. Entry price was a little on the high side but you learn that the RFDS does rely partially on donations to keep operating.

For the cost, it wasn't worth the trip to me. I did learn more about how RFDS started, and also about WW2 bombing in Darwin, but the experience was minimal and should charge less $ entrance fee for the delivery.

The bombing of Darwin using the reality gear was very interesting and I found out many new things.

A must visit great set up. Fascinating info on the Japanese harbour attack in ww2, and on the flying Dr service. Greatly supported by outstanding virtual reality displays. Great location as well. Don't miss the opportunity to visit

The VR experience is a great way for adults and kids to experience what the war was like.

They have two video sessions in a theatre as well which talks about the history of the RFDS which was very interesting.

The museum has a replica of one of the RFDS planes for everyone to see.

Although its a small museum its a great one to visit.

You need maximum 1.5 hours but latest time you can enter is 2.30pm for a session.

Loved this place to learn more about the history of the Flying Doctor Service and to learn more about what Darwin and the Top End went through in the 1942 bombing. The VRs are well worth doing.

Excellent use of Virtual Reality to bring to life and explain the Darwin Bombing, and to experience an RFDS airlift. Great to be able to climb aboard one of their Pilatus planes, watch some historic film footage and interact with other displays. Very friendly and helpful staff, and a reasonable gift shop. Very entertaining and informative presentation.

Very informative and interactive. Numerous displays which helped us getting a much better appreciation of the Darwin bombings, and the great work carried out by RFDS. We had thought the entry fee was a bit steep, however soon got over this after realising how reliant the service is on donations and sponsorships.

Excellent and informative site. Perhaps let people know there is a free shuttle around the waterfront it took me over an hour to walk.

A very well run prese
ntation and display.
So glad we went. The perseverance, dedication, passion and work ethic of the early pioneers of this service, through to it's current generation of selfless people is beyond admirable. This experience is well worth the visit and is very educational as well.
