Renner Springs Desert Inn reviews
52Friendly Stop over. Great food. Camping and rooms available. This has an Optus small cell for communications. Well worth the stop.
Renner Springs is a great stop, go into the bar its well worth it, there's a trillion hats hanging up, well worth a look
Very basic stay. Limited powered sites, but room for unpowered. Pricing is a little excessive for sites. Manager was friendly and helpful and beers were cold!
Two older ladies travelling in a soft floor camper found the spot delightful. We arrived late but were given a grassed site near amenities. The owner Alan gave us a great insight into the area and his NZ staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and a joy to meet. The birds and trees made for a restful oasis. Will definitely stay again on our way back to NSW. Thank you all.
I always stop here they have a pub and caravan park great meals although fairly expensive 42 bucks for a T-bone with mash veg gravy but it's really good. Aussie run showers available if not staying in park for 2.50.shop with fast food diesel petrol full mobile coverage.friendly got a good vibe.desert charm here.
Friendly and helpful staff and the coffee and food are good. Plenty of character around the place. Short walk to the dam out the back which is a pleasant surprise. The place is old and it's always been clean when I've stopped there. Dog friendly place.
In a world of outback motels that have bore water stained sheets that faintly smell of kero from the centuries old kerosene powered tumble dryer, Renner Springs has nice white starchy ones. Oh soo nice clean sheets.
Awsome little place to stop. Staff are super helpful and nice. I felt very welcomed. Food and accommodation was also nice.
Great place. Awesome friendly old country town customer service. Lovely clean rooms and bathrooms spotless. The beds are really comfy for a great night's sleep. Foods a bit pricey but to be expected with the remoteness and TC having no place to source goods at the moment. The geese were a photo highlight. And the service above and beyond.
This is a very old pub/roadhouse with clean motel rooms ($140) and a comfortable double bed, there is memorabilia from days gone by, had lunch there and drinks are not cheap (bundy and cola can was an eye watering $11.20.
There’s a pool also which is unusable due to slimy green water,
This place is definitely run down and I’ll be avoiding it on my way south.
Unfortunately Renner Springs has taken a fair hit in this current Covid-19 climate. They rely on back packer's to help out around the place. Now it is just the two oweners doing everything. Unfortunately they double booked our accommodation so we had to get two rooms instead of a family room. As a family this is not an easy thing to juggle. We brought two bowls of chips and they took nearly an hour to bring them out. I really like stopping at Renner springs but this time was not a good experience. My last stay at Renner springs in 2019 I would have given 5 star for.but not now. Hopefully they get help soon.
A very pleasant room. I had an excellent nights sleep. That maybe because there is less traffic on the Stuart Highway at the moment. The last time I was here, the place was packed. I find it just the right distance for a day's drive from Darwin. I will certainly book again if I am heading south.
Renner springs is one of our favourite stop overs on the Stuart Highway. It's clean, has a lovely feel and has plenty of interesting trinkets to look at. The toasted sandwiches are the absolute best and although we didn't get a chance to have a full meal we wished we had of as the menu looks great. And oldie but a goodie.
Needed LPG, was not working despite the price to be charged, staff had no clue why, no technical support available to sort out the issue, one person for everything - sell fuel, take orders, cool food, serve food etc. Food was so so quality.
Fuel was $1.97 when I refuelled only did it here as it is one of the only spots besides Daily Waters that has clean toilets from Darwin. If you don't spend money here, they will make you pay to use the bathroom which is fair enough.
You're not going to get 5 star accommodation here. It's pretty basic this remote. Power and water. Toilet block is reasonably clean. No Telstra mobile coverage. Stay overnight, put the phone away and enjoy a meal at the pub.
This business made an unauthorized debit on my credit card. I was given the wrong information by their staff after giving my account details and did not stay here. Management supplied me with a doctored receipt. Do not give your CC details to them. They are also very rude.
Interesting stop. The pub at the roadhouse has an interesting collection of caps. The walls & ceiling is adorned with names of visitors to the pub.
A terrific feed, clean room, lovely thick towels, good price, great service, just would have like a hairdryer, but that's not a deal breaker. Great place to stop in the middle of nowhere.
Great place, motel units, powered sites, a bit rustic, but it is central Australia, clean facilites, dine in if you want. Dining room great.
