Outback Caravan Park reviews
63Ok caravan Park. Needs to have larger awning slabs. Some are a gd size, others the size of a footpath, with dirt. Amenities clean.
Best park in town. Good drive through sites. Happy hour with singer every afternoon. Pitza are great. Handy cafe/shop on site.
Great caravan park, toilet and shower facilities need upgrading but they were functional and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. They had a pizza night, with bar facilities and live music which was a welcome break, met some lovely people while listening to the music, eating pizza and having a few drinks.
It sounded so lovely, and the painted trees and live music just ideal. The camp grounds are cleverly positioned in a herring-bone pattern, with attractive garden features. But the dirty toilets, some with non-closing doors, and the trickle of tepid water showers, along with somewhat unwelcoming reception will ensure that we don't stay here again. It saddens me to leave a one-star review, but for the premium price that had to be paid when booking, this is deserved.
Caravan sites were ok, entertainment of a night with a licenced bar. No gates and reception/convenience shop is open to the public. Reception lady was very abrupt.
We stayed here for one night on the 20th May. We had one of the cabins which was very comfortable & clean with good air-conditioning. There was Happy Hour where you can listen to entertainment and purchase drinks from the bar. Jan & Steve are super friendly & helpful. We heard so many bad things about Tennant Creek but we never felt unsafe at any time. Highly recommend.
Great caravan park with drive through powered sites. Toilets and showers a little antiquated but were clean and worked well. Even has a shop. There was a singer for entertainment and a fire for warmth. Quiet.
Nice drive thru sites.helpful staff at check-in. Good entertainment and pizzas at the bar each night
Now a g, day park. Staff are extremely helpful. Have stayed here numerous times and will always use this park.
I stayed here for two nights, the first night about 11pm found someone trying to open my caravan door the next night we had someone broke into our locked tall gate toke some drinks out of our esky I call the police seen them, the caravan park said to me there is nothing that can do it happens all the time THIS IS A GDAY PARK.
I highly recommend NOT to stay there
Spacious drive thru sites
No problems with the locals
A nice pool for a dip
Yes would stay there again.

Great location the lady in the office was ran off her feet under staffed l think but could have been a bit more polite bit rude to my husband on more than one occasion, but over all lovely place to stay great pool and clean amenities
Wed 1st Sep 2021!
Not bad studio type transportable demountables!) A+
Pretty spacious with nice kichen setup.
Reading a lot of security issues regarding theft from vans though.
It was a very big park, it felt secure. The amenities were clean but need to be updated. The wind howling through didn't help. Loved the painted trees.
Spacious sites where you don't need to unhook your caravan. Well stocked shop. Nice entertainment daily. Be aware of the Aborigines roaming the grounds overnight.
Most impressed with helpfulness of staff. Amenities are older style but clean and plenty of hot water. A lot of help from reception in ensuring I will get through SA/NT border. Wouldn't take payment for work she did for me. Happy Hour was excellent. A bar for drinks, live enjoyable entertainment for 1.5 hours and topped off with a delicious pizza that you could order in a range of different flavours. A highlight of our trip across the length of the Barkly Highway. Many thanks to the hospitality of the management and staff.
Never again here like waving red flag at a bull witnessed 2 locked occupied vans broken into & robbed of cash & electrical items, heard unwanted activity every night.the park wont employ security but employ a muscian every afternoon there are no security cameras in the park i feel they are failing in their duty of care to patrons.as a g! Day park standard is poor spent many a sleepless night there
Great park clean tidy and friendly staff.
Can get a cold beer pizza and a smile.
What else can you ask for in the outback.
Asked to be placed in the middle of the park as l was on my own and was concerned after reading comments about this town but they gave me a spot near the furthest point in the park. Thankfully l had a neighbour. The woman in charged doesn't have good people skills, she's very abrupt. A mistake was made with the assigned spots and she was very curt and tried to blame me for making it. When l showed her my paperwork she apologised unenthusiasticly. Overall it's an okay park.
Paid two nights, left after one, being the worst night of accomodation ever experienced with 4 police vehicles on site for at least 3 hours commencing around 1am. Management not in the least concerned even making me feel guilty for calling police while 3 locals go from caravan to caravan seeking unlocked doors with robbery in mind.
