Kings Canyon Resort

Only place to stay for the amazing kings canyon rim walk, otherwise the resort is fairly functional with a bar, petrol station and shop, and a restaurant.

The resort is attached to a holiday park, service station, a pub with some average food which is overpriced and a petrol station with over priced fuel.

The internet here is just about a scam - it's insanely expensive and barely works. After paying for 200MB of data and only physically being able to use half of it due to the network not allowing me to connect I have tried to ask Roaming WiFi for a refund for that half, and they essentially refuse to acknowledge my existence.
Aside from that, and the fact that one pillow in my room smelt suspiciously of someone else's deodorant making me question its cleanliness, the stay was fairly good.

Totally crazy school holiday season but had to stay somewhere. We checked into the overflow camp area but the manager stopped us on our way and found a spot for us in the main camp area. Wonderful service, thank you

We ate at the Outback BBQ and Grill at the Kings Canyon Resort. It was appalling. Flies on the meals, flies on the sauce bottles, no screens to keep the flies out of this dining area and bread rolls that were rock hard.

For a $30 meal, I expect to be able to sit and enjoy it, not battle the flies. Very disappointing and unhygienic.

The next day, I had a hamburger at a nearby roadhouse, and guess what? No flies. So don't say "It's cattle country'. Get some screens please.

We were camping in an unpowered tent. The bbq restaurant was good but the camping ground was inadequate with no tables or shelters. There should be a proper area put aside for campers. The shower blocks were fine but the camp kitchens were small and could have provided simple things like washing up liquid. Overall I thought it was a bit mean in the provisions.
