Kings Canyon Resort reviews
67Acres of space in powered sites with ample showers and toilets for many more than the handful of users currently using the facilities. Swimming pool, tennis on offer as well as walks in and around Mings Canyon.
Definitely a place to visit at least once in your lifetime. The rim walk is tough and starts with 500 uneven and rock steps. Worth the climb if you are fit enough. Spectacular views. Go in the morning and take at least 2 litres of water, sunscreen, flynet and hat. The valley walk is easier and suitable for most.
Nice campground with all amenities. Plenty of BBQ's, toilets and camp kitchens. Laundry facilities are good including clothes dryers. Petrol and pub as well. Helicopter flights and a tennis court and pool. Close to canyon.
Well set-out, with roomy sites. Plenty of amenities. Great with the servo and Dingo Bar right next door.
The worst place we’ve stayed in so far. $60 for 2 for 1 night, and showers don’t work, toilets have no toilet paper so check first before using them. We were parked next to a group of the rudest campers. Loud and inconsiderate. They all broke camp getting up at 6am so they could leave by 7am to get to Alice. They used machinery and spoke loudly like we didn’t exist. Will never come back to this place again. So so disappointed.
Management, You can be smug about my review all you want. The facts are facts. Accept that at the time we stayed at your resort our experience wasn’t all roses and butterflies. Yes we enjoyed the beautiful NATURAL surroundings but your places of business was for us disappointing NOT Kings Canyon itself. I’ve read your other reviews and whilst you have some good ones you also have reviews that show their disappointment also. These reviews are given based on our experience. I’m glad you received good reviews but for us it’s a big thumbs down
We camped in tents for three nights. Amenities are fabulous.
Ground is hard and grassed areas are bare but wouldn't have done any different.
Dingo wandered in around camp grounds so be sure to lock up or secure all personal items and foods.
The loop canyon walk was worth every second.
I am not fit. The 500 rock stair climb was daunting due to my level of fitness. But wow.
Keep the end goal in mind.
Awesome.
Great accommodation, clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was that the management made no effort to keep our group together. Even when we asked for a change they made no effort to keep us together. Everything else was great.
A great place to visit the rim walk absolutely worth it breath taking at times highly recommended
Very expensive for what it is. $30 per person per night and it's really just a basic camping area. Does have hot showers, power and drinking water though. Amenities are cleaned regularly.

If I could give it -10 I would. Terrible don't stay here! The showers are cold they don't care about the guests and have no customer service and way over priced. Never again
We didn't stay at the resort we were in the caravan park.but we did go and have a buffet brekky at the resort and it was really tasty! The resort looked really nice as well.
We were there for an overnight stay in our campervan. The reception staff we were greeted by was unfriendly and cold. The entire check-in process would have been just a minute when there was no other guests than us. When we asked for some recommendations, we were given a map and were told everything we need to know is there. We felt we were not welcome there.
However the place was lovely with spectacular views of the Kings Canyon and the amenities great too.
Location was really good. Live music and food was nice. But was ridiculously expensive for what they provided. $50 for two people for one night, unpowered and there was no hot water in showers (one was cold and the other I had was luke warm). There was no toilet paper for the whole time we were there. That’s the basics and it should of been attended to. Make sure you stock up on groceries before you go because their mini supermarket is SUPER expensive. $10 for a block of chocolate, $6.50 for a bag of chips!
Rooms are good we had basic ensuite. A sprawling complex. Quite expensive even adjusting for remoteness. Very busy with caravan's.
Eiskaltes Bier war schon eher was. Selbst Rotwein war zu bekommen.
The resort are great, the food are one of the best. Great place to put some gas in your car after visiting Kings Canyon. Note there is NO 95 or 98 gas in this station. We need 98 so we have to travel back to Erldunda Desert Oaks Resort for gas.
The resort is Ok. Toilets need a lot of TLC and cleaning. Prices are high as to be expected in the outback. Staff were friendly and competent. Bar and food good. Petrol station and shop good
Zimmer sind nicht sehr sauber und für den Preis viel zu teuer. Hotelgrundaustattung rudimentär. Kein WIFI (optional).
Dennoch einzige Anlaufstelle für Kings Canyon.
Nice hotel located very near Kings Canyon. Ideal base for exploring that region. They have a good restaurant (Carmichael) and a variety of fast food joints in the resort. Also have a gas station. There's also a good sunset viewing area overlooking Kings Canyon. Rooms are also nice. It's not worth paying the extra for a Deluxe Room; their Standard Room is just as good.
