Katherine Motel

Lovely clean and modern rooms of good size. Comfortable bed. Staff are friendly and wanting guests to enjoy their stay. Location couldn't be better, right in the middle of town. Felt safe in room, appreciate the CCTV and security gates.

I was driving to Darwin from Alice Springs, and decided to stop for the night in Katherine. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I left Alice about 7hrs later than planned, meaning that I would be arriving in Katherine at 0100hrs in the morning.

I called the Motel, and Prem was very accommodating of my request for such a late check-in. He was genuinely concerned for my welfare and safety, given the long drive, especially in the dark.
He arranged everything for me, and had someone standing-by to give me the key once I arrived. I was in my room within 5 minutes of arriving.

The room itself was great. It was clean and modern looking, with a massive tv provided. Parking is available right outside the room, which was incredibly welcome after a long drive. I was well rested for the remainder of my journey, the next day.

The staff and Prem were warm and friendly, and very accommodating. I highly recommend staying here, and will definitely do so again if I am passing the area!

Thank you Katherine Motel for having us. It was a beautiful stay with all the facilities from smart tv to housekeeping to pool facilities and restaurant and all the tourist attractions are within 5 mins distance. We highly recommend this hidden gem and food from the restaurant was absolutely delicious. We will definitely come back again.

The location is central and they accommodated for my dog. But the biggest thing I loved was the reception. The man at the desk was so kind, made jokes and made me feel welcome. Recommend this place!

When I entered the room its all new. New fridge my little daughter liked new TV and cup for tea and water. Bed is very soft and comfortable. Some other hotel when is lie on the bed are not very comfortable. In our room beds are very comfortable my family relaxed. Bathroom very clean towels very clean toilet paper good quality.

Stayed for 2 nights before we did the Jatbula trail. For both nights we had to check in late, the hotel stuff were very helpful and made it very easy. They also held two luggages for us while we did the hike. The stuff is very friendly. Overall a very good place to stay and highly recommend it!

Recently refurbished, very clean spacious rooms. Large comfy King size bed. Well air conditioned. Great friendly & helpful manager at reception.

A very good experience! The motel is very well situated in Katherine center, our room was clean and confortable, the staff was very helpful and did his best to please us. Just in front of the hotel, there is a good indian restaurant. We couldn't hope a better experience. Thanks to them!

Great location, 2k to Katherine hot spring, right in town centre. The rooms are nice and clean, has a shared kitchen which is very convenient. The host is very friendly and accommodating our needs.

The owners of this motel are some of the friendliest & kindest people I have come across on my travels. I felt very welcomed. The room was comfortable & clean. Location perfect right in the middle of Katherine. Thank you for having us:)

Unfortunately the value for what you got was unbelievable! I would not recommend this place. Admittedly the owner/manager let me have late check out to catch the bus. But the cost was astronomical. And the hot water didn't work.

Purported to be a good place to stay… On arrival, reception made a fuss about selecting a change of rooms. At $305 per night the room was bloody appalling!
Run down and drab room interior, paintwork unfinished, 3rd world Aircon unit, Bathroom stank! Terrible lighting… I’ve stayed in better rooms in Egypt for a tenth of the cost!
This place just preys upon the travellers moving thru Katherine… 1 /10 rating.
Highly do not recommend!
Site security also suspect… Never again!

What a beautiful bed, cannot remember the last decade I slept for 12 hours!

After a 6.5 hour drive from King Ash Bay I was greeted by an absolutely delightful man Prem and later his lovely wife Ormond (hope I’ve got that correct) they couldn’t be more helpful unfortunately due to lack of staff available I believe his highly recommended restaurant could not be opened, much to our dismay. I honestly believe after 3 previous trips to Katherine this is the only place to stay, book early or you’ll be missing out on a great stay in Katherine.

Prem picked up our call and acceded to our request for accommodation at 8pm. He was understanding and patient. (We were unable to check into the initial accommodation that we booked).

The room size was great, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable, great sleep! The Wifi is great.

No cooking facilities in room but washing and dryers, microwaves and barbeque avaliable in common area.

Very, very disappointing.
Needs maintenance work done. There was tea and coffee and milk but no teaspoons and mugs.

The place needs alot of TLC to bring it up to a reasonable level.

Plus the cost was double that of other Northern Territory motels we stayed at.

Sorry all but its not worth the price you pay.

It's been almost six months since I stayed but I wanted to write this review to sincerely thank the managers for their hospitality. They excelled with their kindness and generosity and I will always be grateful. The food was also delicious.

All the positive reviews are fake.
All the staff names are fake.
All Indians.
Manager is named Prem not Nick.
Absolute liars.
There are plenty of places that give free water so stop acting like this place is any good.
Absolute dive. Typical of Indian run and NT costs.
You have been warned.
