Katherine Hot Springs reviews
51Awesome to swim. Will be even better when local council finish the landscaping they started 2 years ago. Still, the water is just beautiful. Not too warm and crystal clear. Gotta love the NT.
What's better than free? Warm, clear water and numerous small pools and passages/mini falls.loved this place, the son and I came back each day
Nice and relaxed place. Variable depth, peaceful and slight current with slippery rocks. Access variable for all ages and abilities.
Natural hot spring and the water is not that hot. If you go in the afternoon about 3-4 pm, the temperature of the water is perfect.
Hot spring just a name, this place doesnt have hot spring water, but a very clear water which is good for swimming and relax
Best springs in the area, easily accessible and so picturesque. Possibly not as warm as mataranka but definitely worth a visit
Gorgeous hidden treasure in Katherine, well worth a stop after long dusty drive. There is a bit of construction going on, which detracts from this pristine area. Go see it before it is commercialised
Excellent relaxing pools.
Lovely atmosphere.
Both the Top and Bottom pools are unique and have different atmospheres.
The Bottom pool shallows away from where the waters pours over the "wier".
A pure oasis. The water is lovely and warm. With the clearest water and a white sandy bottom, it's a pleasure to cool off in. There are a few deep holes - near the waterfall towards the bottom, and right at the top at the origin of the springs. Steps and a ramp for the disabled are there for ease of entry and exit. There are two entry's to the Hot Springs - one near the low bridge and the other (which is easier) near the school.
Springs are not hot but more lukewarm, but on the other hand there is a very beautiful area surrounding them.
Would highly recommend! The pools are beautiful! Especially the upper pool! The water is not too warm! Very Natural! Would skip going to the Mataranka Thermal Pools, really small - gets really busy, water is very warm, and disappointing. Much more man made, doesn't have the natural feel like the Katherine Hot Springs do.
